If the password you are talking about is the supervisor's password you can set this to default by just removing the battery from the motherboard just wait for 10seconds then reinstall it will clear your cmos or default settings and if the password for the user account in windows what i can suggest is that you need to reformat but prior from that you need to install your hard drive to another pc as slave to copy your important files.
