Question about Homelite Consumer Products 9.0 Amp, 14 In. Chainsaw
Saw will start will choke out, when choke is pushed in, it stops. Homelite 45CC I have replace all carborator gaskets and mandifold, new fuel lines and filter. When it does idle and you mash throdle it dies.
Your symptoms indicate a lean condition. Check to be sure the muffler and/or spark arrestor are open and unobstructed. If all the parts are installed properly and your mixture screws are between 1.5 and 2 complete turns OUT, the saw may possibly have leaking crankshaft seals. The saw would need a pressure/vaccuum test at a repair shop to verify this.
