Those numbers have nothing to do with speed.

They are torque setting for the drill, so you don't overdrive the screw in....the smaller the number, the less torque.

Plz don't take you drill apart

How do cars with clutches work?

Clutches are useful in devices that have two rotating shafts. In these devices, one of the shafts is typically driven by a motor or pulley, and the other shaft drives another device. In a drill, for instance, one shaft is driven by a motor and the other drives a drill chuck. The clutch connects the two shafts so that they can either be locked together and spin at the same speed, or be decoupled and spin at different speeds.Clutches are useful in devices that have two rotating shafts. I have a 18 volt cordless drill and am having trouble drilling screws into pressure treated 2 X 4's. What are the proper adjustment settings for denser (and lighter weight)...

Tighten clutch all the way. If you are using pressure treated that is dry, pre drill the holes. Use full speed/Hi speed. Be aware if you live in the USA, the "new pressure treated" wood requires special screws. The "old" screws will be eaten by the chemicals in the "new" wood.

Motor works and spins but as soon as the drill touches the wall drill stops but motor keeps going.

Check the speed switch on top - sometimes it doesn't fully seat in the 1 or 2 position. Switch it to the opposite setting, run it, then switch back, until it seats properly. Also check the clutch control ring for the same issue.

First I replaced the pipes on my 06 650 yamaha v star custom with V&H cruzers. I then re-jetted the carbs. Now I can't get a low idle. I checked and adjusted the float level. replaced the pilot jet (#...

FIRST, YOU DIDN'T NEED TO REJET THE CARBS. I WOULD PUT THE STOCK JETS BACK IN IT WILL RUN JUST FINE. YOU NEED TO HAVE IT RUN ON AN EGA MACHINE TO TUNE IT PROPERLY.

I have a 2001 ducati 748 when i put the bike in any gear the bike just moves slow but the engine revs if i rev slow the bike will pick up speed

Time for some new plates in there. I have an 02 s4, and my clutch did the same thing. had to get a clutch pack and put it in, fairly easy job. you have to get the old one out and measure the plates to see if they are worn etc, new seals, bearings, plates, springs. I would check the adj on my clutch lever first to make sure it is right. Also, when mine first started slipping, it was real hot out. It cooled down that day and worked fine, but I had trouble from then on, slipping. Had changed the oil and everything to try and fix it. Hope this helps.
