Question about Smeg 24 in. DWF614SS Stainless Steel Free-standing Dishwasher

2 Answers

Dishwasher has been stored. Was working fine-ish for first half dozen washes. Now not starting wash. From troubleshooting in manual I'm holding down first two buttons and it's saying "End", but keeps moving back to SOAK function (17 mins) and not doing anything. Display shows whole soak cycle to run, but on holding down start button it makes no difference - doesn't beep to acknowledge and start cycle.

    Hi.

I've checked the inlet valve - no apparent problems. Hose fine and water pressure great. How do I check the water level switch?

With an online expert I did get it briefly going again by hoovering everything, but it hung again. No error code showing which I'd expect if not getting water.

After bringing the unit from storage did you conduct any service on it? Did you remove any water before storing the unit? when you store a unit like this you need to totally empty the unit from everything including water that usually stays in the drainage side and in the pumps, anyhow it sound as it need just some cleaning you need to get some kind of electronic leaner that you can get from any electronic store (not WD 40) and use it on the controls and then use a air spray can on it to keep it dry and the dirt fly away. Keep working the controls and follow the manual tell you get it back to service…this is not major issue just a little time and maybe a drink.

Let me know how this worked for you and please do not forget to rate my service so we are able to improve on it. The rating as follows 1 the service was not related to the post. 2 the service was related but not did not help at all. 3 the service was to the point and somewhat complete. 4 the service was excellent and to the point.

Check if water is getting inside the machine. If there is no water, then you have a problem with water inlet. In that case check inlet valve and water level switch.
If water is filling, and then stopping , check the water level sensor. I think this machine uses a floating sensor. Ensure that it is not stuck.
Check the water supply at the back, ensure that hose is not bent or kinked and that water has sufficient pressure.

Bosch silence plus 50 dba has error code h01

The statement below can be found at: http://www.ehow.com/list_6978265_bosch-dishwasher-error-codes.html,

The SHU4326 and 4326 models use "Regular Wash" and "Rinse Hold" to begin the test while the other three series in this section use "Scrub Wash" and "Delicate/Econo," but all use the same set of fault codes, shown not as lights but as numbers on the Cycle Countdown display. Here, 1 is an aqua sensor fault, 2 is a heating fault, 4 is a filling fault, 8 is an NTC fault and 0 means that everything is working as it ought. During an actual wash, when you aren't testing, the Cycle Countdown display may show the letter "F," which also signifies a filling fault.

Dishwasher not completing the programed wash, Now won't restart.

There is not a reset button, but you can try by holding both drain and one of the wash cycle.. hold it for a few seconds.. keeping trying drain and another, and another.... you will hear drain motor draining water out... if there is standing water at the bottom... if the cycle stopped after wash cycle, its usually your control... hope this help...

Our dishwasher is leaving a film on everything

Disconnect the water line to dishwasher.this may be messy.connect it to a garden hose. the hose must be new . after connecting take the other end of the hose and pour CLR solution in it using a funnel.get at least half a gallon in the hose. raise the hose as needed so all the solution will fit .pinch the hose so the CLR doesnt leak out.connect hose to faucet turn on water run a large load cycle.if dishwasher has two water hookups, then use clothes washer hookups.if the hose on the dish washer is smaller than the garden hose than get a reducer at a hardware store very cheap.if that dont work have your water tested for contaminants.

Diswasher motor making noise during wash cycle

It could be the impeller on the motor. The impeller fits over the shaft of the motor and might have split/broken up. That funny noise is probably the shaft spinning inside the damage impeller. Fortunately the impeler is fairly inexpensive and easy to replace. I believe there are one or two parts/covers to remove that are held in by a roughly half dozen torx screws.
