No power. Clock will not run

There is no power. The clock is not on and the microwave does nothing

I think there is a fuse in the back somewhere but I can't get back there. How do I pull the microwave out? Where is the fuse? How do I get to the microwave light to change it?

Re: No power. Clock will not run

I have a different Jenn-Air built in microwave & oven combination but I'm sure my solution will work for you as well.

My microwave was plugged into an outlet located on the top of the oven. This outlet has a "circuit breaker" that tripped while we were using the self cleaning feature on the oven. You just need to reset the breaker button right next to the wall oven outlet. Why it tripped is a mystery since the microwave was not in use at the time. Bad design.

Of course, getting to the reset button is your only challenge. You need to pull the microwave and oven out of the wall/cabinetry in order to get to it. The unit is heavy so you will need help. Or, call a certified repairman and they should be able to do this for you in 30 minutes or less so the service call should not run you more than @$85 if it is no longer under warranty.

I would also suggest you contact Jenn-Air to complain about this issue and seek reimbursement from them if necessary.

There is a short somewhere. When the door is open it shorts the main capacitor to ground so it doesn't operate when the door is open. It blew the main fuse on the microwave. If you decide to fix it, look at the door switches as well. One of them will more than likely be bad.

Got swan sm2060R microwave. Plugged it in clock is set but no functions working

test the power outlet plug some lamp desk if work is o.k if NOT reset the c. breaker. follow this stepFirst check is the main fuse of the unit. On countertop units, you will need to take the shell off. The fuse will be close to where the cord comes through into the unit. OTR units, this main fuse is usually behind the control panel or possibly behind the vent. Usually the fuse is obvious if blown, otherwise test with an OHM meter, if open, replace fuse.
Some brands will also have a thermal cut-off fuse in the incoming voltage line to the control board. Older Maytags and Samsungs have this fuse in it. This thermostat looking fuse is usually above the oven cavity somewhere under the outside shell. Sometimes you can get to it through the vent of OTR models. Test with an OHM meter, replace if open.
God bless you

Have power at the outlet, nothing to the unit. worked fine last night. no clock no child reset not nothing. is there a fuse somewhere or a safety device?

There is a main fuse in the microwave oven, it is located under the keypad near the high voltage capacitor "silver and rectangular in shape" make sure unit is unplugged and dis-charge the high voltage capacitor for safety. I find the reason in most cases, that the fuse will blow if there is a defective door switch.

Our 2006 Samsung Microwave has suddenly ceased to heat anything. The clock works and the turn table goes around, but that's it. We had a couple of power outages just before this happened. Could it be...

Press the "Off/Clear' button to cancel anything on the display, and reset the microwave. This is a soft reset and will simply get you out of any program you have started. Press it when the cooking complete reminder appears on the display.
Perform a hard reset. Pull the plug out of the wall power supply, and wait a moment. Plug the GE microwave back into the wall power supply to reset any anomalies with the microwave's memory. You will need to reset the time of day if you perform a hard reset.
Reset the time of day. Press the "Clock" button, and turn the dial to set the hours. Press the dial to enter. Follow the same procedure for the minutes and a.m. or p.m. Press the "Start" button to start the clock.

Seems like microwave is locked on clock

You have to set a time (any time) to use.

Press CLOCK, press number 2 then 2 then 2 again and then press CLOCK again. Does it say 2:22?

Everything should now work.

Do not run Empty, do not use any metal in there and do not use alot (MW kills all the vitamins and nutrition in food - like eating MUD for your body) .... and don't forget to reset the CLOCK ;-)

It could easily be a bad line fuse and/or line filter. To access you will need to unplug the unit and remove the outside case. Inside the unit, where the A/C power cord comes in, there should be a small circuit card (part #237068) located somewhere with a fuse mounted on it. This is your input line filter board with line fuse. Replace the fuse, first and see if this fixes your problem. This is a 20amp appliance fuse that you can purchase at any hardware store. Make sure you place the cover back on the unit BEFORE you plug it in. It is not safe to have this area of the microwave exposed with power applied. High potentials in the 4,000 volt range are present! If the fuse does not correct your problem, the circuit card runs about $26.00. Good luck and hope this fixes your problem.
