There is a large aluminum canister right near the firewall. On this is a large black plastic, cap remove this and you're ready to go. Puyt one can in with the engine off, you can tell when it's empty by listening to the bottom of the can with your ear placed against it. Put the second can in with the engine running and the AC on high. Thank you, Dana

why not use alldata.com
log in and read,
its all there.... see how EFI works,
no symptoms stated.
and with that, answers will be 10 times better.

there are tests to do , before any ECU/PCM is replaced.
unless $400 rebuilts are pocket change.....

No it has coil over plug ign system.The coils must be removed to get to them, If you damage the boot on the coil when removing they come with the coil only at about $125.00 each.

Can't find the fill or check transmission location on 1996 isuzu trooper 3.2 v6 engine. where is it located? no isuzu mechanic in our area

It's check at the transmission pan, there is two drain plugs, the lower one is to drain transmission fluid, the higher one is to check level, with engine running and in park remove up most drain plug if fluid start to come out level is ok, if no fluid coming out will need to add some till it start to come out.

How do you remove the heater core in a 1996 Isuzu Trooper

STEPS TO REMOVE HEATER CORE IN 1996 ISUZU TROOPER
  1. Remove battery cables.
  2. You have to remove the upper dash pad on this paticular year model. with a 10 mm socket and a 1/2 inch extension remove the 5 retaining bolts. Remove the blower assembly under the passenger side of dash.
  3. Remove passenger side seat and center counsole.
  4. Drain radiator.
  5. Disconnect hoses from now exposed heater core.
  6. Turn it 180 degrees and slide out.
  7. Replace in reverse order.

i believe your trooper is like my isuzu rodeo which have a sealed transmission which could be checked by yourself by srewing off the bolt on the top of the tranny, or take it to a transmission place and they will charge you about $140 to replace the fluids on it
