Re: some are keys not working...

Check your packaging that came with the keyboard. If it has a warranty there should be information in it. Cleaning it would have been my first action, but since that didnt work it must be a problem inside the keyboard itself. If all else fails try and research on the keyboards manufacturer website for warranty information.

The volume keys stopped working and the right caps key does not engage capitals on a, s, d or f.

Hi rbjones219 ,

These are the symtoms that you see when the keyboard is about to be damaged completely.

Ususally you find instances where few keys malfunction or stop functioning , and then you have that problem with other keys as well , till the time you have problems with many keys together.

I would recommend you to give it a try by opening up the keyboard and cleaning the circuit , and check if it works fine, if not then it's about time you replace your keyboard.

Note :- If your keyboard is still under replacement warranty , please get it replaced.

Hope ths helps ...:)

Keyboard is not working during boot up. So cant boot from a CD. What possibly could be the problem.

1. Always start tapping any key when you see logo of the manufacture like Dell, HP.
2. If it all does not work, Go to bios(It depends upon the manufacture, try F2 or F1 or Del at the startup) and make CD-ROM as the first boot device. Note:As soon as you see manufacturer logo start tapping, F2 or F1 or Del key to go to bios.
3. If you have a wireless keybord, try to use a wired keyboard.
