Question about Garden
I've had the mower for about 5 years, mowing (mulch) a 1/2 acre yard. It fires up no problem when cold and sounds ''good''. It is hard to restart when hot though, requiring 15-20 pulls. I've tried restarting with it both on slow and wide open, with and without using the priming bulb, etc. with no difference in the difficulty of starting when warm. Main (and probably related) problem is that the mower just seems to bog down (major rpm/power loss) when cutting more than an inch of grass. To the point to where if there's even any dew, I can only cut a half swath, and even then going slowly. Engine doesn't use oil and doesn't smoke during the bog downs. Any idea if Craftsman ''detunes'' these non-user adjustable engines to make them last longer?
No - 6.5HP is enough to cut 3" at a fast walking pace. I would suspect a blown head gasket.
