Question about Cybernet Systems CyberPower CP1200AVR (BC1200) UPS System
I can't initialize the Cyberpower CP1200AVR UPS unit anymore after a Microsoft update that included a Cyberpower PTF.
I actually have had to unplug the USB cable and plug it back in after a reboot in the past. It seemed to actually initialize correctly every other boot, but this workaround (unplugging the USB cable and plugging it back in) doesn't even solve the issue anymore.
When installing the UPS some 4 years ago I remember not finding the correct manufacturer and model in the UPS configuration --- what values should I plug in there to make this puppy work?
I've recently moved to a rural setting and not having the UPS working, and the flakiness of the power out here has me very nervous.
Go into the control panel and find the device manager. Then locate the UPS unit and right click and update driver. Then pick roll-back driver. This should install the prevous driver that was working properly. Then when you do windows update make sure to set it to hide that update so you don't re-install it again.
