Samsung laptop RV511 BSOD

The BSOD is usually a sign that there is either a driver or hardware problem. If you have added anything since you got the laptop you should remove it. You should also try and run the system in "Safe Mode" (press F8 at startup). This causes the system to run without the specific drivers, and uses generic drivers.

My pc would start up, then flash this blue screen for a milisecond, then start up again

Log into Windows Safe Mode (F8) and turn it off Auto Restart by doing the following:
  • Right Click on “My Computer”
  • “Properties”
  • “Advanced” tab
  • and under the headline “Startup and Recovery”,
  • “Settings”
  • uncheck “Automatically Restart” box
  • press Ok.

Now the BSOD will not disappear and you can begin to fix the problem. To solve a BSOD problem go here:

My PC boots up and then restarts. There is no set pattern to this however. It may be on for 2 minutes or 8 hours before it does this.I've tested the power supply, it's fine. Any advice?

One of the programs set to be loaded at boot fails, you get a BSOD and the pc restarts. You need to find what the BSOD says to stop all of that.
To see the BSOD you need to stop the pc auto-restarting:   Start / Control Panel / System  /Advanced / Startup and Recovery / Settings... > under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart"

Plugged in the 1TB WD My Book Essential into my Dell Dimension 3100 running windows xp and the screen goes blue and I get a error stating "Bad_Pool_Header"

here's a solution I found on google:

BSOD the Solution:

Did you install Service Pack 2? Are you now suffering from the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)?. Here is the solution. I have spent 4 days hunting down the cause of my machine crashing and have finally cracked it. Maybe other people have a different cause than mine so my solution may not work for everyone.

After installing SP2 I suffered many crashes. In particular the Screen would turn blue and display a message starting "Bad_Pool_Header". And ending with STOP: 0X000000019....

Then my four day hunt for the cause started.

BSOD Solution
Basically I found two causes of the BSOD.
Cause 1: Corrupted file or folder.
Cause 2: Microsoft Indexing Service

Possibly these two causes are linked.

Solution for Cause 1
Onen up Explore (right click the start button), and expand your directory tree, starting from the C: drive. Click on each folder in turn and see if any cause the BSOD to appear. If so, reboot, and simply attempt to copy the folder, and then delete it.

Solution for Cause No 2
Switch off Microsoft's indexing service. You can do this by clicking the start button, select "Run", then type "msconfig", then select the "Services" TAB, scroll down to the Indexing Service and Switch it off. Reboot your computer, and good luck - maybe it will work, It solved the problem for me.

At first I thought I must have a third party software or hardware conflicting with SP2, but even after I had disconnected the internet, switched off all items in the startup TAB of msconfig, was still getting the BSOD. I tried surface scans, chkdsk, scan disk etc all to no avail. I tried defragmenting the disk, but the frequent crashes may have made things worse.

I discovered the computer was now crashing after about 7.5 minutes of being switched on. It did not matter whether anyone logged in or not.

Finally I went to msconfig (Start Run, MSCONFIG) and switched off "process System.ini files, Load System files, Load Startup Items. And the comuter stopped crashing. So then I added the item back one by one until I discovered the Microsoft Corporation Indexing Service which was causing the crash. I switched it off and switched everything else back on and AT LAST... No more BSOD

Proxy host error BSOD on PH32DSP.dll

Many Windows 7 users are facing BSOD (Blue screen of Death) error.
Follow the below steps to resolve the error.
1. Startup in safe mode (tap the F8 key on your keyboard repeatedly as the computer is starting up)
2. Select a method of safe booting from the menu (first try with networking; if the crash still occurs, try without networking)
3. Once the system has booted, click the Start button and type MSCONFIG then press enter in Windows Vista (in Windows XP, click the Start button, then click “Run” and type MSCONFIG then press enter).
4. Go to the Startup tab.
5. Disable Kaspersky and any related items (e.g. kl1.sys), then press OK, then restart the system if it does not happen automatically. Startup normally (i.e. not in safe mode).

Alternatively you can launch the Kaspersky application and set it to not start at startup.

Every time i try to turn on my computer it shows bsod for a split sec and the restarts again? can u help?

You can configure Windows to not automatically restart when a bsod occurs. In the Control Panel, go to System and then select the Advanced tab. Then click Settings under Startup and Recovery. Clear the Automatically restart checkbox.

Now when the bsod happens, it will stay until you power down the computer. You can read the STOP error of the bsod and any potential file name. Now you can search for the exact error and solution.

Bsod 0xdeaddead. restart and when it wants to.

No programs added. Microsoft updates can crash to BSOD 0xdeaddead 0x00000000 0x00000000 0x00000000 0x00000000. When I restart it gos to bsod above. Will be working on a file and it will crash to the bsod above. Not every Microsoft update will crash in the process of installing but some have. No new hardware or software has been added for sometime now. Streets and Trips has been loaded and taken off several times because it will not run with out a startup error. Everything other than that works fine.
