DD24DCX7 Dishwasher - Top Drawer Not Working

Hi Brendan,
The dishwasher will stop mid cycle if the door is not closed properly, please ensure that the door is shut firmly and the latch engages fully.

Also a broken door latch, faulty control panel or failed electronic control board could be causing the problem.

Hope this helps.
Best,
Dan

My Bosch dishwasher door latch is stuck in the locked position--anybody know how to reset it?

Happened to me as well. Pull the latch (looks like an upside down house) towards you and it will click back into position. Needs a bit of force but it should do the trick!

Thermal Fuse

If the dishwasher won't start the thermal fuse might have blown. The thermal fuse helps to prevent damage to the dishwasher by turning off power so that it doesn't overheat. Once blown, the thermal fuse will have to be replaced for the dishwasher to work. The thermal fuse is usually located in the control panel on the control board or mounted to the bottom of the tank behind the lower panel. The thermal fuse can be checked for continuity.

Door Switch

The door switch, or switches, are sometimes called interlock switches. The door switch prevents the dishwasher from running while the door is open. If the dishwasher won't start, the switch or switches might be defective. To access the door switches, remove the control panel or inside door panel - depending on the model. They can be tested for continuity.

Main Control Board

The main control board provides power to nearly every component of the dishwasher. If the dishwasher won't start the main control board might be defective. You should first check for more common parts. Many times control boards are replaced unnecessarily because the problem was not diagnosed properly.

Touchpad and Control Panel

If the touchpad is defective, the control board might not get the signal for the selections made. If the dishwasher won't start and the display doesn't seem to change properly when the buttons are pressed, the touchpad might need to be replaced. On some models the touchpad and control panel are sold together and will need to be replaced at the same time.

Timer

The timer allows power to flow to the proper parts at the proper times. If the dishwasher won't start, the timer might be defective. Keep in mind that timers are often misdiagnosed as the cause of a problem. Check other components first before replacing the timer.

The door won't latch

The most common problem with the door not latching is the top rack not being completely in the back position. Check the rack to make sure that there is nothing jammed and not letting the rack completely close, also make sure that water tube lines up. On most models there is not real adjustments for the door latch.

How do I turn off the flood switch sensor on a fisher and Patel double drawer dishwasher

Unfortunately there is no way to turn the flood sensor switch off, you need to pull the lower drawer all the way out and check for any water in the base or other items affecting the flood switch, If you have a 601 series you need to pull the 2 round pins out on the front sides of the drawer to enable you to pull the drawer out enough to get to the flood switch, If you have a 603 series you need to push in the 2 locking tabs on the front side of the drawer which will allow you to pull the drawer out enough to check the switch. Make sure you unplug the dishwasher before doing this,

Unfolding the treadmill

1. Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your left hand. Pull the latch knob to the left and hold it. Pivot the frame downward and release the latch knob. Note: To release the latch knob, it may be necessary to push the
frame forward as you pull the latch knob to the left.
2. Hold the metal frame firmly with both hands, and lower it to the floor. CAUTION: To decrease the possibility of injury, do not lower the frame by gripping only the plastic foot rails. Do not drop the frame to the floor. Make sure to bend your legs and keep your back straight.
