Please run [from command prompt] cd /D <drive letter> then chkdsk /r if asks to unmount say yes. most likely cause of misreading of size are bad sectors on disk. this win subprogram will try to fix any it will find. hope it helps.

What are 80 gb hard drives?

Sounds like your just starting out. A "gb" is the size of the hard drive. The higher the number the more information it will store. If you store a lot of music and videos you'd need a larger hard drive. Technically a "gb" (gigabyte) is about 1000 Megabytes. A terabyte (T) is about 1000 Gigabytes.

How to transfer 57 gigs from a mac to firelite xp.

The hard drive maybe formatted in Windows NTFS format and the MAC cannot see this formatted hard drive.
If you only wanr to use this hard drive on a MAN then you need to format this hard drive with your MAC.
If you want to exchange files between your MAC and a PC then you need to format the hard drive on a PC in FAT32. The MAC can read and write to a FAT32 formatted hard disk.

Partision prblem

This is because an 80GB hard drive only has 75GB inside it will not be exact because of the way hard drive manufacturers compute the size. 80GB by name but only 75GB in real hard drive space. much like a if you have a flash drive or a portable uSB you will notice this also.

HOW TO TELL A 60 GB PS3 FROM A 40 OR 80 GB
