How do you install windows xp on toshiba satellite p205-s6347

You need a Windows XP installation CD plus the product installation code.
You may find purchasing Windows XP Pro difficult as it is not widely available now and it soon will no longer be supported by Microsoft.
I recommend you keep Windows Vista.
This model Toshiba can installed with Windows Vista home Premium.

Toshiba Satellite A135-s4527 soud-problem

Ah, interesting problem! Hello from Canada :) Unfortunately this is where Microsoft forces people to use Vista, but there is a solution. If there are no drivers for the mic, you can get a normal microphone like this one here:

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.4468

As for drivers, if they aren't listed, it's alot harder to get working.

No HD audio on Toshiba Satellite under Win XP Pro; Vista works OK

You almost have it correct. There is one more patch you must install before SP32646.

Read about kb888111.exe file from
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111/en-us

But kb888111.exe is not available at that link. It is here:
http://geekswithblogs.net/lorint/archive/2006/06/11/81540.aspx Then re-install Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio (SP32646), and finally install the Conexant High Definition Audio Driver

What is windows vista?

Windows Vista is Microsoft's latest operating system, their replacement for Windows XP. Because it's very different from XP, some hardware and software is not compatible. Computer systems that will work with Vista have that sticker so you know Vista will install correctly.

To change os from vista to XP

Hi there,
I hate Vista from my guts! I installed XP SP3 (Slipstreamed) and my Toshiba Portege R500 Flies!
I have posted some notes on similar issue from this forum. Use this website's search engine on "Toshiba R500" and you should be able to fine my posts.
My current job involes rebuilding laptops and desktops so many times that I created this automated slipstreamed XP SP3 CD and I had no issues of Harddrive not being found after all the waiting.

How to install XP in toshiba Satellite L45-S7423 laptop

You cannot uninstall Windows Vista, but you can reinstall your previous operating system, which then replaces Windows Vista. To reinstall your old operating system, you must have the original installation disc. Back up your programs and files, insert the installation disc into your computer, and then reinstall the old operating system. To regain the hard disk space used by Windows Vista, reformat the disk during the reinstallation process. After reinstalling your previous operating system, reinstall your programs and files.
