>well you can use generic driver which has minimum requirements but this will allow you to print but not scan
>go to control panel
>go to printers
>open printer folder then click on add a printer
>select localy printer and select usb as local port
>select hp as manufacturer and select deskjet 990c as driver
>this is a generic driver which will work on mosy hp printer
>just rename the printer icon on the printer folder to the correct printer name that you have
