Found a broken lead on the back side of the AC connector to the board. Resoldered a piece of copper wire, working perfectly again.

WONT TURN ON

Older but good set---two things here to begin with

1. It has a line cord fuse in the set(if power light comes on at all that is good).

2. with back removed at plug in of power the set has several green Led's on the board---the red one should be on when set is plugged in.

3. The green ones at plug in should all be lit--each is connected to a different voltage line coming out of the power supply.
4. At plug in all should light and watch when set turned on if one or more go out and if all go out which was last or first to do so.

This was their way of pinpointing where the problem is.

When i turn on my xbox i'm getting 3 flashing red lights what does this mean

it means your xbox is overheating, you can send it back as they extended the warranty on it for this common fault unless you have modified it, in which case look up ring of death on youtube.

My kinect is not workin on the kinect its self only the red light is on and no green what is wrong and it is askin if my power supply is plugged in

Original Xbox 360 console
  1. Turn off the console.
  2. Make sure the power cord is plugged into a working electrical outlet.
  3. Make sure the USB connector is plugged into the back of the console.
  4. The light located near the middle of the split cable should be green.

No green light? Try plugging the cable into another outlet to make sure the cable is working properly. If you still do not see a green light your cable needs to be replaced. Contact Xbox Support.
  5. Turn on the console.
Other solutions can be found on the Xbox support site by following the link below.

Right now the standby 5vdc is working but it may have gone into safety shutdown due to failed power supply or shorted circuits in the backlight inverter board. You need to troubleshoot it to narrow down the causes first before buying the wrong parts.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools, electronics knowledge, and know safety precaution then please read on:

Vip211 will not power up, no green light or signal?

Hi johnmcmillan with thereceiver not powering up we can try a few things to get the power on. Firstthing you will want to do is make sure the receiver is plugged directly intothe wall. If the receiver is plugged into the wall and the green light is noton you can do a reset by unplugging the power cord from the receiver for 10seconds and plug it back in. I will leave a link to help with this. http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/receiver-no-power

If no air goes in, CPU could overheat.

Pile of ##@!#@ infocus lp70 green light wont come on. should i smash it??

if the fans aren't running, it's the power supply. if the amber is on and the button's won't turn it on, there is an obstruction under the button panel. if all turns on but the lamp and you don't hear a high=pitched whir, it's the colorwheel. if you do, it's the ballast.
