Question about 2wire 2700HG-B Router (2700HGB)
Trying to hook up hpc309a to my macbookpro thru airport extreme wireless. i can print, from mac no problem there. don't want to fax anything at this time.
my problem is i want to be able to scan from the printer to computer and reverse send from mac to make copy or photo. I keep getting system errors on the scan, the hp says to start with the mac, the mac gives this error.
i tried to connect to airport and to the mac itself from the printer, get the same error on both set ups. can u help?
Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

hi!
first of all, let's try to make the broadband link light turn green. open any browser, go the modem's UI by typing gateway.2wire.net or homeportal/setup on the address bar, follow the onscreen instructions on running the system setup wizard. it should make the broadband link green now. for wireless connection, click on the airport icon, and select on the SSID or network name in the drop down menu. if ssid is not on the drop down menu, click on other. type the SSID in the network name field and wireless security is none. (SSID is the last 3 nos. of the SN)

Windows 7 (Beta) and Windows Vista 64 Bit. Step 1. Do not allow the autostartup to run the installation application. You must right click on the CD ROM and select the "OPEN" option. Locate the driver on the install CD. Since my DVD ROM drive is my "D:" drive I located the driver at D:\USB_VISTA32364\BACKUP_2WIRE_VISTA_USB_Installer.exe . Before you click on this you want to right click on this and select Properties. In the properties tab click on the middle tab marked "Compatibility". Make sure you select the checkmark box to: Run this program in compatibility mode for: and use the pull down menu to select Windows XP SP2. This is how I was able to get my 2wire utility to work on Windows 7 (beta) 64 Bit.

It is your firewall I am betting. Quick fix since it is just a printer you can set your firewall on tmz just for the printer and see if that helps.

The WPA passphrase is a method of configuring the encryption code in the wireless router.
You can generate the encryption code using words and phrases so you can remember the encryption code.
You can view the encryption code in the wireless router or you can generate a new encryption code. If you generate a new encryption code then all the wireless cards in the computers on your wireless network will need to be changed so the computers can communicate/connect with the wireless router.
