Question about Gateway M675 Notebook
I have a notebook computer that no longer recognizes the cd drive. The drive runs when the tray closes but nothing happens after that.Explore shows the drive but does not recognize that there is a disk inserted.
When you interrupt the boot sequence and go to the BIOS screen, does it recognize that there is a device at that point. If not it looks like the CD drive is U/S. If it does recognise it at BIOS ... try reloading the drives for the CD ... or upgrade to the latest.
