yes but you will have to buy a signal booster (also know as a range extender) you can find them at places like walmart and other stores that sell computer wireless modems.

What is the best way to extend range of DIR 615 please? I have just changed from a Netgear Router which worked fine and gave a lot stronger signal throughout the house.

The only solution I know of is to have the router located clear of thick walls. Also, try to position the antennas different ways.

I use a D-Link Xtreme N Wifi router which is pretty good at penetrating walls and other barriers in my house.

Mine has 3 antennas on it. And, I use D-Link adapters on my laptop and other computers to get maximum compatibility.

WEAK signal :-( How do I extend the distance or wireless reach.

Either look into getting bigger (higher gain) antennas for your router, or get bigger/stronger antennas for your PC's.

Other than repositioning the existing antennas or putting the router higher up in the air, there isn't much you can do.

Range Extender DWL-G710 & Wireless N Router DIR-615

Try to configure your new router and you have to reconfigure the Range extender to tally with the new router. The IP Address that the range extender should have should depend on the DHCP server of your router that provides the IP Address.

Extend Range ?

The best way to extend a wireless signal is to get a wireless range expander/extender , because a high gain antenna really give the needed boost of wireless signal.....

you need to run "cat. 5-e" cable from the first router to the other.
if this is not an option, purchase a range extender box, which communicates between the two routers.

Extending range of wrt54g router

yes there is a way to extend the range. it involves flashing a 3rd party firmware into your router. another way is to buy better antennas for it. radio shack has a pair for your router that are made by gigaware that will add 7dBi to your range. That is an easier solution. if your want to try flashing your router (my personal favorite way), then let me know and i will walk you through on how to do it. ; )
