Question about Tricity Bendix TM220W Electric Dryer
You sholud let the motor do that.
just kidding. several possibilities with those bendix/equator/slendid/kariba etc.. the most common being a garment jammed between the inner and outer basket/tub. recently wash a pillow, or floor rug ? did they come apart ? they usually do if a "no spin" is not selected. do you hear anything scraping ? I digress. these machines have poor access from the front, and unfortunately not great from the rear either. I'll give you some tips if you feel you can follow great, lets do this.(if not call a tech.)
1) unplug the machine from the ac outlet. there should be a small door on the left hand bottom in the front of the unit.(your model maynot have a little cover/door but just the insert/filter in plain view). open it, you'll see the pump "insert" or filter and some even call it a "pincatcher". unscrew it ccw (counter clock wise) drain any water out of the pump. use a light and inspect inside the pump, especially the bellows which goes up to the basket/tub. see anything that could be jammed, i.e. nylons, socks or any other garments obstructions ? if not, you'll have to move onto the next step.
2) you might want to remove the fill & drain hoses, this will free up some space behind the unit, it's pretty crampy at best of times.
3) remove the rear access panel, (careful panel edges are sharp) this will expose the pulley, belt etc. does it look like it's been leaking out the back wall were the tub bearing is located ? if yes, major repairs required, call a tech. if no, awesome. let's move on.
now, spin off the belt, don't pinch your fingers...again make sure it's unplugged please. (if you've ever put a bike chain back on you can do this).give it a turn on the pulley while applying some pressure pulling the belt towards you, the belt should "turn off", now spin the pulley without the belt on. still tight? no ? how about giving the motor shaft a spin, is it tight ? if so it's either toast (bearings) or you need brushes (as long as the stator isn't damaged too badly) if it's spinning freely, great.
ok. now, having checked those things and ruled them out. get yourself a trouble light or good flashlight for this next step.
4) from the back looking towards the front, at the bottom of the tub you'll see a rubber bellows going between the tub and the drain pump. remove the bellows from the tub end, look in the bellows for clothing etc. if nothing try this. hold your hand or a couple of fingers inside the tub hole from where you removed the bellows, unless you can see clearly with the light shinning into the hole. "slowly" spin the tub (sharp edges again, be careful. and this may require another hand) see anything jammed inside ?
That's really all you / I can do for now in my opinion.
These washer dryer combo's also have a heater/blower housing up top that can become clogged with lint, especially the blower wheel, but that is usually a "clothes not drying" complaint. I guess in extreme cases, it could be clogged so much it's rubbing against the drum thru that opening, this would require removing the complete heater housing and physically cleaning it out though. there isn't much room in there either, careful not to damage the timer, switches, wire connections, etc. (you'll see what I mean by removing the top)
hope that helps

Your problem could be the belt has slipped off the pulley or idle arm.
Or your drum rollers need lube or replacement
