The pictures are purple on my Canon PowerShot A95. After taking a photo the pictures are purple/pinkish on the display and on the computer after puting them there. Can I fix this problem?

It is known problem of ccd imager chip failure in Canon A95 camera and ccd imager will be replaced to get live view in camera mode to take pictures.

The pictures are purple?
There more than likely a problem with the ccd, and Canon will fix it for free paying for both ways to and from the repair facility.

My Canon Powershot A95 takes a good picture then the next one is pinkish and washed out and seems to be happening more and more. Any ideas?

A95 LCD screen black and unable to take photos
There are quite a few of us with symilar problem, but the screen is not completely black: it has some purple or pinkish color when facing light. Old pics and menu can still be viewed. I noticed 4 symilar threads on Canon A95 within the last 5 mins without any search, just looking at the top questions.
