Question about Garden

I have a craftsman chainsaw model no. 358356081 that idles fine but bogs down when you pull the trigger. I checked the fuel line and noticed there are 2 lines coming from the tank. The one to the carb is ok but there is another that fell off. What does it go to?

I have the same saw and the same problem. The other line seems to be a breather line. It looks like it has some sort of filter plug in the end. Seems it just needs to point up. I wonder if the problem is that ours is not breathing properly. Goin' to check.

Craftsman chainsaw has no power

I would first check your muffler and screen in muffler to make sure it's not partially plugged. Personally I think it sounds like a fuel delivery problem,I would make sure you change your Fuel filter and check your lines for being cracked and or collapsing from ethonal in gas these days. then I would put fresh gas in it and see if it also need to clean carb and then readjusr carb after cleaning carb

The saw stalls when under load and at high speed, runs good at idle and mid speeds, when you pull throttle all the way back with out load saw will bog down and die.

Check the fuel filter, air cleaner, and muffler for plugging. Check the fuel lines for decay or other damage. Make sure the carburetor is solidly mounted to the engine. Hope this helps!

Idle is off??

hi leobowdy

disassembly the carb and carefully clean it.Check the air filter, the fuel line and fuel filter, check the needle, lever, small spring and the screen filter from the carb.Check the sparkplug.
high speed H=2 turns,low speed L=2 1/2 turns,adjust T
When chain saw starts adjust H,L and T accordingly.
