Question about Acer Aspire E380 Desktop - AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ 2GHz - 2GB DDR2 SDRAM - 250GB - DVD-Writer
Try this, double click on the realtek HD audio icon on the system tray (orange speaker), click the effects tab, check if there's an active sound effect, change the effect to none, this should return the audio back to normal. Otherwise, either there's a problem with the speaker or on-board sound card.
