I can start my echo edger but as soon as I give it a little gas it stalls. I already changed the fuel pump. any ideas????

Lyndon - Did you try changing the fuel filter? You will find it at the end of the fuel line in the gas tank. Give it a try.....

Moisture in the fuel and/or moisture or other obstruction in the air filter. Begin by cleaning or replacing the air filter, then empty all fuel from the tank and replace it with NEW fuel from a gas station.

Check the rpm in neutral should be around 800-850, this should drop to 500-550 in drive or reverse.

empty the fuel tank and refill with the correct oil/ fuel mixture as too much oil blocks the jets Machines do not like any e- mix fuels as the jets are not set for the mix.

its could be the fuel pump, if its going bad then it could be causing stall and a gas hose could be bad to and is only allowing a little gas to motor causing it to stall also

If the fuel filter in the tank is part blocked this could happen, these engines need to run a little on the rich side when running free, the excess fuel is required once load is put on the engine, so try changing the fuel filter.

try seafoam additive to your gas tank get your fuel lines and your pump checked it has a fuel filter but it is inside the tank on your pump

Was there any water in the tank? Has anyone changed the fuel filter? Has anyone checked the ceramic ballast resistor on the drivers fender near the master cylinder?
Has anyone checked the crank sensor output? Did anyone see if it will run if you spray carb cleaner into the throttle body after starting? Are there pulses present at injector? You need to verify these things to get some idea what is going on there.

You may need the carburetor adjusted or rebuilt. The other possible item is "bad gas". If the gas has been sitting around longer than 30 days, it may be time to mix up some fresh fuel mixture.

change plugs wires also .fill gas tank up put prestone or gum out fuel injector cleaner.drive car around several miles.give injector cleaner time to clean out injectors.wait until engine cool .change fuel filter.relief fuel pressure before changing fuel filter.
