The pass code should be 0000 but if you get it synced. It will not stay connected. Its not your htc phone. I went to HTC's website to get the bluetooth update, installed it, and im still having the same problems. Its the piece of s#*% em227 bluetooth that is the problem. Your best solution is to go and buy a new bluetooth cause yours, just like mines, wont work. Have A Nice Day

There are several kinds of Bluetooth Profiles. If you're only looking to send and receive phone phone calls, A Bluetooth headset only needs a Hands Free Profile or HFP.
The EM227 cannot be used as a stereo headset because a different Bluetooth Profile is required. If this is what you're intending to use it for, You may want to invest in Bluetooth enable Studio Headphones.
Try these steps to Troubleshoot the issue:
1. Make sure that your EM227 has been fully charged. the User Guide suggests that you charge the Headset for at least 5 hours before you use it for the 1st time.
2. Go to your device's Bluetooth Settings and scan for nearby devices.
3. Turn ON your EM227 Bluetooth Headset and place it in pairing mode. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash RED and BLUE.
Don't Forget to keep your Bluetooth Headset and your device within 3 feet of each other.
4. If your device asks for a Pass Code, try entering "0000" ( Four Zeroes)
Once you've paired the device, the LED indicator should now blink as a steady Blue light. Try making a test call.
Remember, The EM227 was only designed for Hands free calling ONLY.
Hi,this is a detailed step on how to connect your htc to your notebook via bluetooth.
Turn on the bluetooth of your htc which is accesed at the connnectivity settings of your phone.
Ensure you also put on the bluetooth on your notebook, most notebooks have a single button in front of the keyboard,to turn on the bluetooth.
You now go to the bluetooth settings on your phone, and click on 'add device'.when you click on it,it requests for a pass code, when this is done for the first time, this pass code can be any 4 digits of your choice.
After entering the pass code on the phone,a pop up shows on your notebook requesting for the same pass code you entered on your phone.
Ensure you enter the same pass code for both the phone and notebook,if not the devices won't pair via bluetooth.
After entering the pass code on the notebook, the notebook is automatically paired with the phone via bluetooth, afterwards you can be able to transfer files between the phone and the notebook via bluetooth.
