HI. in most cases, this will lead to a failed Heating device(magnetron tube). It would be wise to check the Magnetron cutoff fuse to be sure of its integrity. if the fuse is blown, simply replace it. if the fuse continues to show continuity, replace the magnetron.

(((The fuse is located inside the unit along side the magnetron)))

I need instructions for 10in. microwave browner

Only place I've found is here: CorningWare Browner Instructions

As these dishes were designed by Corning for a 650 watt over, you can recalculate preheat and cooking times for your oven with the following formula:

650/(your oven's wattage) x (listed preheat time or cook time)

For example, for a Corning MW-9 dish, they list 4 minutes maximum preheat time. I have a 1,580 watt oven. So 650/1580 = .41 x 4 minutes = 1.64 minutes and about a minute and a half preheat. (MAX).

HELLO.

Below is the solution on how to make our microwave heat food.

1 Remove oven racks and place them in soapy water to soak.

2 Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
  • 3 Turn the oven off and spray the inside with oven cleaner.
  • 4 Allow to sit for 10 minutes.
  • 5 Wipe the cleaner and dirt away with a damp sponge, rinsing frequently.
  • 6 Dry with a soft cloth.

  • Thanks.

Everything functions on microwave, it just doesn't cook. After pressing cook, the light comes one, the time runs down, just no cooking.

It's possible the magnetron tube, the microwave source, has failed. They can go bad in a couple of ways, and one will cause that symptom (the other causes a loud humming when the oven is trying to cook, but no heat). Other possible causes are bad solder connections or loose terminals on the control board or door switches, or parts in the magnetron's power supply that have failed. If the oven is over 5 years old and has been used often, it's very likely to be the magnetron.

This kind of problem usually needs to be diagnosed while the oven is plugged in and operating. MICROWAVE OVENS USE HAZARDOUS VOLTAGES THAT CAN KILL YOU, so troubleshooting and repair is best left to professionals with the tools and experience to do it safely.

If you want to keep this oven, let a professional check it over and give an estimate. Then you can weigh that against the cost of a new oven; sometimes it's more economical just to replace it.

Microwave does not heat food placed in the center of the turntable. Leaves a cold spot in the middle of the food.

This is normal. That's why I always recommend to my customers that the food be placed slightly off-center on the turntable. An analogy I refer to is stirring paint: If you stir paint with a stick by simply rotating the stick in the center of the can, it's far less effective than pulling the stick around an imaginary circle halfway bewteen the center and the edge.
