If you are unable to install the driver software check if there are any driver files that have not been removed from your computer (this might have been installed during the incomplete installation). Are you unable to install, reinstall, or activate ?
Typically, Office won't come on a separate CD; it would come as a trial on your installation disk. If it's supplied (like application CDs), maybe try using the 1st disc out of the set. Also, you may run Control Panel - Add/Remove programs and see that you don't ahve any other office installations or office trials in place.
If yes (and it does not auto start) then open My Computer (or Windows Explorer - the same thing) Click on the appropriate CD Drive and look for the setup icon (there are usually 2 of these so try the one that looks like a computer first and then try the other one) in the top level of the CD Directory (ie don't open any Folders).
