Make sure that the problem is not a broken belt, or a belt that has slipped off of the motor pulley or idle arm pulley.
Look to see if the motor is running first, sometimes you cannot hear the motor running but it is.
Also you can check your breakers to see if one is kicked out.
This problem can also be caused by a faulty start switch.
If this is not the problem than it may be time to call the repairman

Did you replace the thermal limiter fuse inside the cabinet near the motor? It is likely burned out. Contact the repairclinic.com for the part or Sears.

I have a Kenmore Dryer it works but will not tumble i'ts a heavy dudy super capacity 70 series modle 110-64742400 you may need this to dwjr-ele-2406028-fm54

When the drum won't turn and the dryer is otherwise working it's usually due to a broken belt. Open the front of the machine to inspect the belt.

  1. Under the lint door remove 2 screws
  2. Use flathead screwdriver to pry up the top lid
  3. In the middle of the drum should appear a belt, if you see it, pull on it. If it is loose it's fallen off the belt tensioner. If there's no belt of if the belt breaks in your hands, you need a new belt.
A sample of the typical belt routing for your machine is available at the link below:

Kenmore Electric Dryer , 700 series, MOD 64722400 , SER MR4136705 , Type DWJR-ELE-2406028-FM64 . Dryer is not heating, checked fuse it's fine, cleaned every nook and cranny with a swifter duster and...

Hi.

Be sure that you have checked the thermal fuse. The part is tested using a multimeter set on Ohms (impedance). Remove the fuse from dryer and read impedance touching the fuse contacts with the two multimeter probes. If impedance is Ohm infinity (open), then the fuse is bad.

If the fuse is OK because tested good or replaced, then the problem is either one of the three thermostats located in the heating group, or the heating element. All parts are tested similarly to what described for the thermal fuse. If any of the parts read open (infinity), then the part is faulty. After finding the defective part remove all the lint from heating assembly and air duct. The lint causes overheating and blows thermostats, fuse or element.

Regards.

Where do you find a heating element for a Kenmore Model #110.66662500. Serial: MT0203728 Type: DWJR-ELE-2406028-FM54

Grainger.com is easy or you can look thru the yellow pages for a local appliance repair store, for parts.

It appears the heating element went out on our older Kenmore dryer - Type DWJR ELE 2406028 FM54. mod 110.62622101. Is this an easy fix?

Yes it is fairly easy to replace from the back. First verify it is the element and not the thermal fuse or a loss of one leg of the 240VAC circuit.

Kenmore electric dryer Mod. 100.66662501, type dwjr-ele-2406028-fm54 Dryer blew fuses, so we replaced the fuses. Dryer then ran about 10 minute, was heating fine but then blew the fuses again. Help!

Assuming that the fuses you speak of are the external pair, and not the internal motor or timer resets:

Check the fuse holder for corrosion on the plates. Often the fuse is not properly seated because of this build-up and therefore has an intermittent connection. This will cause the fuse to either heat up, or overload; ultimately failing.

To remedy this, turn OFF the breaker, or main switch if necessary, and fix a wooden dowel with a piece of emery cloth (or sand paper) on the end. Remove any visible black corrosion from the contact plates.
Finish with a spray of WD40 to protect the plates and fuse end.
Replace the fuse, ensuring that it's tight, reinstate power and try again.

Dryer runs no heat

Sounds to me you either blew the fuse or tripped the circuit for the heating element. Try replacing the fuse or resetting the breaker before trying any repairs.
