My ice maker is stuck in crushed mode, will not

there is a plunger in the rear of the cabinet that the ice bucket bail arm fits in. remove the bucket hold the door switch closed with the door open and make sure the cubed ice is selected and watch the plunger it should move up ward when you try and get ice. if it dooes not move it needs to be replaced if it does move jjust make sure the bail arm is properly inserted into the plunger assembly.aslo make sure that the plunger is in the down position first sometimes it will get stuck in the up position.
