You have a master switch to turn the TV off if not turn the TV on and then pull the AC cable off that will reset the unit then check the remote control setup, let me know if that work if not we go to the next step Please see that grant me your approvals by rating my service and I hope that I can serve you again the future.I will work with you in this issue to conclusion
Thanks for using FixYa. The 3 most common problems with Samsung sets are bad
convergence ICs. If the ICs are bad it can cause a set to be dead. The second
most common repair is a shorted H.O.T. (Horizontal Output Transistor) followed
thirdly by a bad Flyback Transformer.
The only way I know how to test the H.O.T. is to de-solder
it and check it with a meter.
To test for bad flyback transformer on your tv set you can
de-solder just the collector pin of the H.O.T.(there will be a dot inscribed on
the collector pin of the transistor) and if the set powers up with audio and no
video then you have a bad flyback.
A quick test for bad convergence ICs is to disconnect the B+
(power) going to the convergence board; if the set comes on but has bad
convergence then problem will be on convergence board. If this is the case,
it's a safe guess to assume bad/shorted convergence ICs (they are probably
STK392 040).
They often have small Pico Fuses that also open when the ICs
go so you may have to change the ICs as well as the Pico Fuses. If your set has
Pico fuses (not all sets have them), there will be 2 of them and they're
located right next to each IC (just to the right of each IC).
These fuses are often green and look similar to tiny
resistors but if you look close at them they will not have any color coded
stripes like resistors instead they will have the value of the fuses written on
them (Example: 4 amp)
The convergence ICs are near the center and towards the back of the main chassis on
two large heat sinks. The sets with the separate boards are much easier to
repair.
Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.
Thanks
