this dryer is an electrical heated dryer i suppose, ask an electrician to check the heat sensor, for this should trigger the on and off switch of the heater according to the drying cycle you set your dryer.

Not really, you need a front load washing machine, any kind, tell the store you will put a dryer on the top, and they will give you a installation
kit.

Can I install this in my house?

Hello buckeye,

In a word...Yes.

There actually aren`t anything different about most rv appliances, with the exception of gas/absorbtion fridges. As far as the "Splendid" brand washer/dryer combo, they are just an "equator/bendix" with a different badge and a little more compact...harder for me to work on is all, no elbow room, hah ha !

The water inlet lines, power cord, and drain are all the same. ( unless someone has changed them ).

Hope this answer`s your question. If you are satisfied with this solution please rate it accordingly. Thank you for visiting "fixya" and good luck.

Washer location

Not advisable. Garage area would need to stay above freezing temp., and dryer performance will be poor at best if intake air is below 50 F. If you are not doing a lot of laundry, you can use a combo unit. (washer and dryer in one unit. LG makes one, others must also) They are slow, as the dryer is only 120 volt, and dryer does not work well with over a half load, but they also do not require an outside vent, and only require room for one unit, instead of a seperate washer and dryer.

Longer cord/age of washer & dryer

Is your dryer electric with the big plug.
If so, what kind of changes are you making?
The dryer needs to be by the vent outlet so you can't move it far unless you are going to cut a new venting outlet.
If it is electric (not gas) then do not try to extend the cord. Have a licensed electrician move the electrical jack.
The cord has a large amount of current running through it and the longer the cord, the more resistance the current has to flow through. More resistance means more heating of the cord and less voltage for your dryer. This can result in the cord overheating to the point of melting and starting a fire itself or getting hot enough to ignite the very fine and very dry lint particles that are present in any laundry room.

This is a situation where you spend the money and have it done professionally because of the danger of fire, death, etc.

Good Luck!

I have a zanussi turbo dry built-in washer/dryer built-in 1200, Mod zjd . 125, and I do not know how to use it. HELP! Thanks, Cindy

Hey, Just load the washer but do not over load. These combo washer dryers are strictly for smaller loads. You should have a drawer to the left that you place the soap and softer and bleach. Set to the washer to washer. The door should lock automatically. Then set your dryer setting to the the Heat temperature that you want. 100 degrees is ok to start with. then it will adjust itself as it goes through the cycles you have set. Enjoy the machine should work. If it does not look to make sure that the door is closed all the way. Sometimes you have to open the door and reset it and shut the door or while it is closed gently push on it till you hear a small clicking noise. ENJOY YOUR WASHER DRYER COMBO

My electrician installed the 220 outlet for my dryer on the floor in my laundry room. Is this a hazard if I ever have a water leak from my washing machine? Should I have him reinstall it in the wall?

I for one would have hadthem install it into the wall. However, if he was a licensed electrician then he would, BY LAW, have to follow building and electrical codes for your area. Contact another electrician and ask them how they would have done it.
