Has this unit been worked on? if so you may want to empty the water out and take the back cover off. When you have all the water out take the clear hose off the power box and reconnect it. They may have installed it with the water in the tub and it was programed to think that is the level of empty. Then Look under the unit you will find a hose off the basket. It goes to a splitter (diverter valve) (not sure about the spelling) most of the time the wax motor arm is broke off the valve if it is it is an easy fix. Also you could take out the screws and pop out the inner tub and check The bottom of the outer tub for any socks.

E5 error on Onida washing machine Need solution

5E. This means the washing machine has a "water drain error". It's basically timed out on empty, it's tried draining out the water for 10 minutes and the water level still hasn't fallen below a specified level (or at least it thinks it hasn't). This error should be reset by pressing the Start/Pause button though if there is a fault it will need fixing or the error will just return.
A washing machine not emptying the water can have various causes as can a washing machine thinking it hasn't drained the water because it's possible that the signal telling the machine that the water has gone can sometimes not be triggered if a fault in the pressure system prevents it.
To troubleshoot this problem the first thing to check is the pump filter, which could be blocked. I have extensive advice on diagnosing pump faults here Washing machine won't drain water (stuck full of water) ' Faults on pressure system

I have a Saeco Incanto classic, the low water light is on, tank is full, and I have steam coming from the steam wand.

try descaling the machine it could be that the water level switch is clogged with water calcium and not lifting when water is added, or it is defective and needs replacement. I hope this was helpful.

Lg wahser wm1832cw flashes oe on readout. nothing in drain

Hi,

If you are getting this code it is because your washing machine has tried for at least ten minutes to drain the water out of the machine. The most likely cause of this problem is that you have a plugged pump filter or you have something stuck in the pump filter.Make sure that you unplug your washing machine. To clean out the pump filter you must empty the washing machine water. The best way to do this is to manually drain the water into a low bucket or basin. Then lay a towel down to catch to remaining small amount of water. Remove the pump filter, clean out any debris, and wash out the filter. Then plug your washer back in and restart the washing machine.Check that your machine is properly leveled. A washer that is too far out of level may not drain properly. Make sure that you are level front to back as well as side to side. This solution will solve your problem

Thank You !!

Washing machine EWF1087 Main light works, nothing else does, no display. Machine stopped half way through a wash, still full of water and clothes.

troubleshooting advice.
Washing-machine-repairs - The washing-machine fills with water but does not start the washing cycle

1. The water level sensor or float switch may be faulty. If the unit does not sense that the water is at the right level nothing will happen.

2. When the water filling rate appears very slow, the inlet water filters may be clogged. Although not that common the inlet solenoid valve can jam and only partially lift.
3. The cycle timer or program circuit board may be faulty

http://www.washingmachinerepair.info/the_enquiry.html
Shows how it should operate.
There is a thermal switch inside the pump and this corrodes even after a year. If the filter is blocked the the pump has to work harder and so heats up (a lot). This switch is prone to staying open once it trips out.

SOLUTION
Isolate machine from mains and water supply.
Empty machine with drain hose and bucket at floor level.
Clean Filter out.
Turn machine on its side.
Remove electrical connections from pump.
Remove 3 screws holding pump (small leakage so get a towel).
Remove PUMP from machine. (be observant now)
Remove plastic cover over coil on pump.(its easy)
Thermal switch is soldered between 2 of the now 3 visible terminals. about 7mm x 15mm x 2mm in size
Remove small insulating cover and bend switch up about 30 degrees then flick with fingernail and blow out the dust or rust.
This resets the switch (horray)
Replace insulation on switch and bend back into position gently.
Replace cover over the coil.
Turn pump by hand (resistance should be like pushing 2 small/ medium size magnets together the wrong way)

Return pump to machine and reconnect pumps electrical connections. 2
Reconnect machine to mains (water and electric and waste)
Turn on machine while holding START and SKIP BUTTONS at the SAME TIME.
Leave it off for five mins then turn off and turn on again.
If it does not work straight away RESET again and Repeat as above.
SELECT PROGRAM AND WASH ALL YOUR TROUBLES AWAY.

Water overflowing and not cutting off.

The water overflowing problem could be one of three possible problems.
Water fill valve
Pressure level switch
Hose coming from the drum to the pressure switch.
Here is an easy way to check all three.
While the machine is on with water filling up quickly unplug. If water is still going in then replace the water filler valve. (In 20 years i only seen this happen once!)
Open the top panel so you can get to the water level switch. There will be a hose hookup to it.
Make sure there is water in the drum in this test. Disconnect the hose from the level switch. (you can turn off machine for this test) Blow thru the hose and notice if you hear bubbles going in the drum/water. If you do then good. If you dont then the problem was the hose came off the drum. Make sure it is securely attached because sometimes when it spins it might come off. If you do hear bubbles then blow again, pinch hose. Then reconnect to the pressure switch. You create air to the pressure switch. It should now shut the water off at the lowest setting. if it still doesnt shut off replace the pressure level switch. Sometimes i do this trick and it starts working.

this is alot of info, if you need clarifying let me know, i am slowly getting better explaining but will get better later thanks hope this was helpful

Washer won't fill or start cycle fault codes indicate pump failure. Changed the pump but problem persists

Seems that the controller thinks your machine is full of water. Water level pressure sensor may be sticky. May be blockage down air line to pressure sensor - try blowing into sensor end to clear.
(Always disconnect from power before attempting repairs).
