I have a White Rodgers 50E47-843 Ignition control, my gas furnace gets the call for heat and the exhaust fan starts and runs for 1 min before the LED lights yellow for 2 seconds and then starts the hot...

A certain sequence of events has to occur to start normal operation. My furnace would start the stack blower which would then run forever without the furnace starting up. The service tech replaced the stack blower controller and the ignitor to get things running right again. Remember that some stages of startup are temperature dependent. For example, the burner has to heat the bonnet enough to close a thermal switch and turn on the main.blower.

I HAVE AKAI PT50DL24XISMS IT COMES ON FOR 30SEC TO 1MIN THE PICTUREGOES OUT THE SOUND STAY ON THEN GOES OFF

Its a DLP that uses a lamp, lamp is possible but I would also look to see if fans are on and running, a fan stopping or even slowing down can trigger the set off also.

Average lamp life is 2000 hours or two years and set if lamp a bit dim may shut set off.

HP laptops are well known for motherboard issues, and will usually involve a replacement board, at this point have it checked before a decision is made.

Console won't eject disc or shut down

Same thing happened to me a while back. First try unplugging the Wii for 30sec-1min. Then plug it back in, turn it on, and then hold the eject button for 10 seconds. If that doesn't work try it again with the Wii in a different position. (Horizontal instead of vertical or vice-versa). If that doesn't work it might be a disc drive problem and it might have to be sent to nintendo.

This is their service site. Hope it helps!

Ink system failure, everything was fine, i put new ink in just like i have many times before and now it won't print anything, it keeps telling me ink system failure on the monitor

This error usually means you are at the end of the life on the printhead or the printhead assembly has a defect causing it to stop working. You can try removing all of the cartridges with the machine on. once they have all been removed unplug the power cord from the socket (be sure printer is still on!) wait about 30sec-1min. then plug back in. the display will Read out of ink install and an icon for each missing color. Reinstall all cartridges and close cover. it will take a minute or 2 for it to cycle and prime the ink. The display should read ink Sysytem Failure, power down machine. Press Power button to shut down, leave for another 30sec. and then turn back on. If the error displays again you will have to contact HP for in warranty service or replacement options. Note: if you are out of Warranty it is a good idea to shop for a new printer via Costco, Walmart, or an Office Supply Store, it will save you $$$
(a friend had this issue and they were going to sell her a new printer for $30 more than staples plus shipping!)

Fuel

Since this seems like a fuel shortage problem amplified by slosh, it could also be the purge valve after the charcoal canister, that is supposed to let air in and out of the gas tank. Open the gas cap and listen for a "whoosh" when it is happening. There is not supposed to be any pressure difference.

Melting plastic smell/ computer slow and shuts down after about 15mins

Hi there.
The reason you can smell burning plastic and why its shutting down after a short time is because its overheating. This can be caused by a build up of dust on the CPU fan, overtime with dust build up computers struggle to keep themselves cool and tend to shut down unexpectedly, chances are this is the problem with your machine, my advice would be to remove the power cord, open the side panel of the computer and clean all the dust away from inside the tower, do this with a soft, clean paintbrush making sure you remove the dust carefully and gently, also make sure the CPU fan and the heat sync behind it is completely free of dust or any other foreign objects.
Once you are happy that its clear of dust, close or return the side panel, plug in the power cord and turn the PC on, you may find that the PC will stay on for longer with the smell dramatically reduced.

Please post back with the results and thanks for using FixYa!!
