Re: Direct TV

It depends on a couple factors. First of all, how many do you have connected already? Do you want to do it yourself or have Directv do it? It really isn't hard to do yourself and a little cheaper too. But if anything goes wrong, I dont think D* will fix it cheap. You have to have basic knowledge of the working of a satalite system, I.E. transponder settings and such. Answer those questions for me and I am sure I can help.

My user guide refers to 'MyVOD' but it never shows up on any screen. It is the Directv Plus DVR DTV receiver.

VOD (Video on Demand) is selectable TV, films etc. So if you haven't used this service it won't show up on your viewing menu. You also need the correct receiver. Have a look at these links for further info.

I lose my audio often for non-hd channels with dish 622 dvr

The problem could lie in youir HDMI cable, this is a common issue. if you swap HDMI cables and still have the same problem then bypass your A/v rec and connect your 622 direct to your tv and see if the problem persists, it it does, then your DVR needs to be replaced, you can call dish for addition troubleshooting if it is in fact your DVR.

Used receiver at different location for 3 months.

Had repair man come. The coax connection going to TV from receiver had went bad in the receiver. The other connectors in box worked but not the coax anymore that is why the box worked on other TV since using video and sound cables. Got new box for signing up for another 18 months with Direct TV. Didn't have to have splitter to just get Satalite so that wasn't the problem at all. Any of the splitters I had would have worked.

Probles with dual screens on sat. receivers

if both receivers are plug into their own inputs on the back of the television, go into the remote set up screen and program the av1 or av2 as a seperate receiver. this will all the remote to send a different signal to the receivers so they wont change at the same time.

Receiver on but not working

call direct tv and ask for a reset. When you do not use your receiver leave it on and connecetd or it will not receive updates and will forget what it once knew. Actually I think you can use the automated system and use (I think...not sure) code 712 to reset all your receivers with out waiting for help.

RF module related to Direct TV.

yes you can but the 2nd tv wont be in HD. The modulator can be purchased for any electronics store. what it does is turns a composite video signal (yellow, red, white cables) into a coax (screw in cable). it has an composite input that you would connect from the receiver and a coax output that you would connect to the other bedroom tv.
