You need to check the paper feeder tray, take it out and look inside and see if you have any old papers got stuck inside, and try to clean the rollers, then push the paper try good inside the printer making sure that it is all the way in and that the side guide next to the papers are close to the papers so the do not move sideways., let you know if that work if not we go to the next step. Please see that grant me your approvals by rating my service and I hope that I can serve you again the future. I will work with you in this issue to conclusion

You do not take the feeder out just the paper tray and you clean the rollers...to take the feeder out you need to take the printer apart and that is major job. let me know

When I go to print something it tells me it's out of paper and it isn't! I can here the machine act like it is loading the paper

Hi Pat.
Normally if a printer tells you that it's out of paper it generally is.
If however, you can see paper and can categorically say that it is not out of paper then there is generally something blocking the paper pick-up path. Take the feed tray out and make sure there is nothing hiding in there like a paper-clip (or food!).
These machines are pretty robust and should normally last several years before giving this sort of error, so I would always look for 'something in the way' before going any deeper.

We loaded new pack of paper now printer tells me to load tray 1 as if it does not know that tray 2 is in place and loaded with paper.

This is due to paper handling either the guides in the tray are off (Example: Adjusting the tray from Letter to Legal) Or the paper handling settings in the machine are miss-configured. I don't know that machine type so I can't inform you correctly how to change but on most HP printers go into the menu from the control panel and arrow down to paper handling go to tray 2 size and type and make sure they are set to the same paper size and type as you have loaded into the machine.

Why does the paper light keep blinking even though paper is loaded correctly in the tray?

Check the microswitch inside the printer paper tray. Turn off the printer first and unplug it. There is a sensor switch that may need cleaning from paper dust, or the microswitch that tells the printer there is paper there may be bent, good luck

Printer loads paper incorrectly when trying to print

in the tray where you put the paper, there are two pieces of plastic that site on the side ,,,,, bring them close to the paper as to touch the paper.

this way the paper cannot go left or right when loaded and now will go in straight.

this oughta do it.

The printer message says: load paper tray and it is already load

Something to try, The paper (roller) may be slipping on the paper giving false reading of Load paper tray. UNPLUG THE PRINTER FROM MAINS and CLEAN the (roller) as best you can with quick drying solution, Tape cleaner or Similar. Good luck Bob.

Have you loaded both trays? The bottom tray and the upper tray ? The one that folds into the machine. Something may be trying to run from tray 1. Upper tray

Not reading paper

If you toggle the Feed Switch button (lower left side of control panel) to the Front Tray, does the printer print then? What type of paper is selected in your Printer Settings on the computer? I think that if you have selected anything but Plain Paper, the driver wants you to load the paper (photo paper, etc.) in the Rear Tray.
