Noontec V8 Problem to play video files

I`ve got Noontec V8 with 1Tb hard disk running in NTFS, it is half full with films and musics. It was working perfectly, playing everything. Today it just stoped to work. I'm able to see the preview but when I choose the film it goes back to initial menu, ignoring my action. I tried to do everything, I changed the hard disk, changed the partition to Fat32, put less files, tried all outputs (HDMI, RCA, etc..).
I couldn't find any firmware for that reason I didn't try it as well.

Has someone any more ideas?
Where Can I find the firmware (I tried noontec's website but it's in japanese)?
Has someone got the same problem?

I appreciate any help
Tks so far
Paulo

SOURCE: Phillips 1TB HDD problem, playing movies hrough DVD player (USB)

My question would be are the movies in the right format. Just because they play on your computer does not mean they will play on you DVD.NTFS or FAT 32 would have no bearing on this. They are simply data per sector protocols and are related to magnetic storage devices. You may need the proper codec for you computer so it can make a DVD you player can play.

Do need the internet, just go into your settings tab on the intro menu for the PS3 and hit system update. Use the via internet option and it finds the newest version...2.70. Takes a bit to download but, when it's done you get to enjoy watching the otherwise $30 drink coaster.

I've tried to formatted my 1tb hard drivenfts hard drive to fat32 and it cut into less than half, unhappy and i tried formatting it back to nfts and its still cut into less than half, please help me...

The reason that this happened to you is that FAT32 supports a maximum of 32GB. You can refer to the following table for information on the size limitations
http://www.ntfs.com/ntfs_vs_fat.htm
Now to correct your situation and get the full disk size formatted NTFS, do the following
1) Right click on My Computer 2) Click Manage 3) Click Disk Management 4) Locate the drive on the right hand side, verify that you have the proper one, check the size (it will list the full size on left of the drive listing 5) Right click on any partitions and delete them ("Delete Volume") 6) Right click on the empty space and create an NTFS partition, you will be prompted for the size of the disk, it will default to the full disk on a 1TB drive. So you should be able to just accept that prompt. 7) Format the disk NTFS
You can do a quick format, but considering all the changes made, you might want to consider doing a full format. I will warn you that it will take more time (probably 2-3 hours vs seconds on quick format) but I would trust my data better knowing it was fully formatted properly.
Good luck!
