Thanks goofduck. But I live in Hong Kong on the 26th floor getting to my drip line and getting a hold of compressed air isn't that easy. Do you know of any means of opening the front facade of the inside unit? Thanks, Susan

The easiest thing i could tell you is to blow the drain line out with compressed air from the drip line end

Water leak

The most common reasons for water leaking from the unit are:
1- Condensate drain line clogged, needs cleared.
2- System is freezing up, causing excessive water to overflow, check filter, fan motor, thermostat, and batteries.
If there is ice on the lines on the indoor or outdoor unit, the system is frozen. If it's a charging issue, make sure system is thawed completely before calling anyone. They will not be able to do anything until system is thawed out and will cause you to wait longer.

I have a "Hitachi split type air conditioner model RAS- 3098U", and its started leaking today from the right side. I didn't install it and I can't figure out how to remove the front cover to l

water is coming from evaporator drain pan most likely. lots of humidity right now and 1st thing your ac is going to do is remove this from air. most likely cause would be condensation line clogged or if you have condensate pump, then it also could be cause. to remove cover usually you have to remove air filters look for any screws and possibly front louvers pull down. this usually does not give you access to drain pan. unit usually needs to be removed from wall plate and this might involve refrigerant lines being removed, and for that my friend you defiantly want a qualified professional.

Condensation water is leaking out of the bottom of the unit on all sides

Hello, usually a clogged condensate line or cracked condensate pan will cause this. try using a wet/dry if you have one to unclog the drain by attaching the hose to the end of the condensate line, the line will be made of PVC pipe. if this does not help than the condensate pan under the evaporator coil is cracked and will have to be replaced. in some cases if your unit uses a condensate pump that could be the problem aswell if it;s clogged or not pumping.

The air conditioner drain is clogged on my lasabre. How can I unclog it?

I usually unclog them using a puff of compressed air. The crud that plugs them is pretty soft and generally is quite easy to blow out. It may plug up again a time or two until the crud works itself out but usually once the drain is finally clear it will stay open for quite a while.

Water clogged in the outlet pipe

Hello
This is the condensate drain line which drains humid water the a/c coil collects.

To clean you can try compressed air, blow through the pipe.Or take pipe apart and flush it out.

Have the unit off when doing this, also clean the collection pan out of debri.

SANYO SPLIT TYPE AIR CONDITIONER LEAKING

The leakage is probably from condensation and there should be some sort of drain for it. You should check to see if it is clogged or partially clogged. Also since you say it does it when it hasn't operated for a while you may want to check out where the lines pass through the wall and make sure that it is sealed up there so you don't get leakage from out side.

clear drain line with air or water. If unit is really old possibly drain pan rusted with holes. make sure to change air filter this will cause coil to ice up if restricted.

Water leaking into the house - model AOT24RWGL

Either the drain line is clogged, or there is a hole in the pan.

Get a powerfull wet/dry shop vacume.
Attatch it to the end of the drain pipe and seal it tight and pull out any dirt, mold crud blockages.

Take the panel off so you can access the drain pan under the evap coil. Clean that out as well with the vac.

Once its nice and clean, poor a gallon or so of water into the pan bein g carefull to not pour to fast.
Make sure that the line is drainign well and look for any spots where there may be a crack, hole etc in the drain pan where water may leak out
