the comjputer is dead or the power supply? make sure that the charging unit is working and let me know. Please see that grant me your approvals by rating my service and I hope that I can serve you again the future.
If your computer is under warranty, I'd suggest you contact either the Vendor where you bought it, or the Dell support site. Either should be able to acquire a new power supply and install it for you free of charge (if under warranty).
Some other thoughts though, before you do that. If there are no indicators that your power supply has died (smell burnt electronics, any weird buzzing sound prior to the computer not working, etceteras), then you might want to check the connections to the wall socket, the connection to the PSU itself, and even test the circuit breaker for your socket (some wall sockets have test / reset buttons that cut the power during surges).

I built a PC using an Antec Aria case and it's worked well for a couple of years until recently. Now it will not start up. No fans but there is a green light in the RJ-45 socket, so some power is getting through. The on/off switch has no effect. When the power lead goes in I can hear a very high pitched squeal. I'm suspecting the power supply has failed. Is there a way to test my suspicions? Thanks.

When I double left mouse click on drive D: or drive H: it doesn't open it. In order to open the drives I have to right mouse click and hit explore. Just did a complete reinstall of the Operating System, clean install and format of C:. Drive D: is an internal sata hard drive, H: is a USB drive. I also have another USB drive as G: and double left click works on it. Double left click works on C: also. Any ideas?
