Question about Kitchen Ranges

Range door doesn't lock for cleaning

I have a whirlpool gold range that was in the house when we bought it 2 1/2 years ago. I have never been able to successfully get the door to lock for cleaning. It locks and then you hear a click click sound and it unlocks again. Then the reverse happens until you cancel the setting. The door handle is all scratched on one side. I think the door might have been forced open before it automatically releases after it cools down.

Sounds like your right
the lock is not engaging the lock switch
so it rolls out
safe open
you should be able to bend the latch enough to catch

Remove door on whirlpool stove or range

I'm not sure about Whirlpool but most doors have a little locking latch on the door hinge. Look carefully at the exposed hinge when open and see if there is something you could pry up with a screwdriver while someone supports the door. Then you lift the door away. Its all in the owners handbook if you have one. If not go to the manf website and see if you can download one.

Need to remove the front cover of the oven door on my Whirlpool Gold range in order to reattach the door handle. How do I do that?

DEPENDING ON THE MODEL. THERE SHOULD BE LOCKS ON THE HINGES SO YOU CAN LOCK THEM IN POSITION. THEN LIFT THE DOOR OFF THE RANGE THERE ARE FOUR SCREWS UNDER THE DOOR HOLDING THE GLASS AND A STRIP ON. REMOVE THE STRIP AND GLASS .

How to fix fault code E0-F2 on whirlpool gold gas oven?

The E0-F2 could mean one of the following:

1. Shorted keypad - Replace Electronic Range Control/Clock (ERC)/ Keypad

2. Oven temperature is too high - Check or repair the following:
  • Test operation of door lock on self-clean models
  • Test relay contact operation
  • High resistance in oven temperature sensor
Hope that helps!

Whirlpool range RDE 6100N2

Instead of trying to place the bracket to the door from a lowered position at floor level, I positioned the brackets and from a standing position, placed the bracket into the slot, pushed in a downward position and the door went into place.
