Question about Nintendo DS Console
What you need to do is follow the forms on www.powergamingparts.com and buy a new case and then fix this. Unless you are really good with electronics and small parts, I would suggest sending this to someone who does this for a living.
I do this and I would be happy to do this for you if you send the DS to me and then pay me for parts, and time spent.
You can look at the prices for the parts (a new case for which ever system it is (DS, DS Lite, DSi)) then pay me that, shipping for parts and shipping the system back to you, and I usually charge $20 - 30 for a repair, depending on how complicated it is. If the only thing that it is a hinge, then I will do it for $20.
My address is 707 E. 1475 S. Kaysville UT 84037 and just tell me if you are interested in this.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
