Question about HP Pavillion ZV6000 Notebook
After installing the C6100 drivers for the HP Photosmart on the HP Pavillsion ZV6000, the wireless no long gains an IP address. Tried removing drivers, re-installing wireless network drivers, and a whole slew of things from HP's online chat:
* resetting bios
* resetting tcp/ip
Why the heck would two HP products be so destructive to each other? My mind is boggled. Any thoughts on restoring the wireless network capability to the laptop? Right now it detects the access point, but fails to gain an IP address (settings are correct).
I really wish HP would just admit that this is a problem and fix it. (I ruined a second zv6000 a few hours later with the same process of installing those drivers).
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
