Question about Belkin F5D7234-4 Router
I have the same issue too...My Laptop Connection(Lenovo G550 with Broadcom 11b/g Wi-Fi wireless) with my G router F5D7234 is slow, sometimes I have to wait for a minute or two for a web page to open. sometimes it does not open any web pages at all. When I plug in the ethernet directly to ADSL Modem, its very very fast!!! If I connect ethernet cable at the back of Belkin Router, it becomes a little fast but not as fast when I connect it directly in to ADSL modem. Signal is strong, I'm just feets away from my router,
I use ADSL Modem with userID and Password to connect to ISP. My default IP for ADSL Modem is 192.168.1.1, I've tried turning off the firewall on the router, copy MAC Address but still have the same issue. Firmware is up to date. I've tried talking to Belkin Support through chat, but he is very rude. He seems to do nothing more than copy paste the copy issues, if I ask him more technical stuff or ask for a return he disconnects the chat. I'm very upset with the performance. Unfortunately I can't upload the router set-up picture, but you should have a fair idea, I plug Belkin Router to ADSL Modem with ethernet an thats it, nothing much. I would greatly appreciate any help regarding this, please let me know if you need any more details.

Of the Belkin Modem Routers I have used and supported, around 60-70% had connectivity issues.
If the Belkin was cabled there appeared to be less issues than if it was used in a Wireless and cabled capacity.
I suggested to another person only moments ago to quickly sketch a diagram to show, how the network is set up. Add labels to the piccy's which provide the following info:
1. Computer Types (Makes, Models) and OS (Vista, Windows7, Leopard etc...)
2. Connection Types (Wireless / Cabeled).
3. The IP Nos.
4. Modem Types (Make, Model). ie, Belkin F5D7234-4 Router.
5. ADSL or ADSL2.
If it is possible to upload the diagram to FixYa then I suggest you scan the diagram (sketch) or take a photo of it and put it on the computer so it can be uploaded to FixYa.
I only discovered FixYa yesterday and joined, so I am not sure what is possible yet, as I have been focussed on trying to find solutions or provide suggestions on where to find the solution.
I would be proactive and submit your problem directly to Belkin via their website, I have provided the Australian Belkin website link below:
I hope this is helpful to you, please rate it. Regards,
