Our wii turned black and white, and i fixed it by switching my AV onto AV1 setting, somehow it had gone on to AV25 and this had turned it black and white, so check out your AV menu options on your tele

SOURCE: Wii gone black and white, no colour

Definitely a TV issue for me. Changed Wii to another input on TV and resolved situation. Need now to check how to get my Panasonic TV to recognise colour on AV2 & 3 because I prefer to keep DVD input as AV1!

Its in black and white not colour why is this

I think its a different regio.

PAL and NTSC are 2 examples.

I've the game your willing to play is PAL, but your Wii is NTSC it wont work as it should.
Vice versa

Wii is playing in black and white, have played around with the cables, tried different combinations but still no colour.

Chances are your video settings are on pal/ntsc, and you're configured on the wrong one... Maybe this can be configured, but I think it depends on your version of the wii console, did you buy it on ebay?
However, I think that some homebrew applications could fix this, altought i'm not 100% sure

Black n white screen

hello,
the problem could be from the colour setting of the television on the AV .
Go to menu on the remote to change the colour function from NTSC to AUTO.
Good luck

Wii plays in black and white.

Check if the tv has different types of AV settings, as this affects whether the wii plays in black and white or colour.

Plug in the wii system and everything comes in black and white

Try plugging it into another scart socket, this sometimes happens when a tv does not support 60hz. the result is a screen that has no colour. You could try just plugging it onto the seperate av inputs. Most tv's these days have one scart that will work ok and in colour.

Wii video is black and white

Possibly you've plugged the video into the component (RGB) portion of the input - this calls for 3 connectors (Red, Blue, & Green) and if you only plug one in from a composite it comes out grayscale. If you only have one video lead (yellow connector) make sure it is going to a composite connection which should also be yellow. Otherwise, more info is needed about your connections.
