Bush 27" lcd set. Sound ok when switched on but picture takes up to 90 mins to stabilise, screen is blank for a long period then flickers vertically gradually improving,unwatchable until settled.Time to settle increasing daily , was only a few minutes 6 months ago. OK if left on all day once settled. Set 3.5 years old,is it worth fixing? John, Christchurch

Most likely a power supply component has aged and thus changed value and/or
failed. Take it to a reputable repair person.
Call 1-800-Samsung to set up a warranty service call. They will repair it in your home if they send a Samsung Field Engineer. You probably have a bad Main bd.
You have a vertical deflecttion chip that is going bad. Probably a LA7832. There is also a good chance that you have a leaky capacitor and bad zener diode. The capacitor is east to get , the zener diode part # is MTZJ75. These repairs are usually best left to a professional

hav a repairman resolider all conection on the vertical IC and check the serounding componets for falts.

PS the repair takes me about 15 min.
My Wesinghouse 27" lcd hdtv jumps and vertical hold is out of control after being on 15 mins. The cable company checked the connection and it is clean. We did not damage the tv. It has been doing this since we got it. We did not get a service contract. Sometimes the screen goes black with a small rolling picture on top. Help me please. Can the maufacter still help us?
