Verify four things:

1. You are not plugged into the onboard video VGA port

2. Onboard video is disabled in BIOS.

3. Power is actually being applied to the card(make sure the fan spins up)

4. Reseat the card and make sure it is seated properly.

Hello sir I am santosh from india; my intel desktop board serial D845EPI / D845GVSR , problem 4 beep and turn off pc

Did you check the RAM ?? . Remove Ram and Clean it and Put it back . and try . ( also remove Grapics card or any add on card if you have . Also try by removing HDD / CDD / DVD /FDD ect from the mother board and Just connect the Keyboard abd boot the Mother board . If your K/B Number lock can be toggled , then there is no problem in MB)

Upon windows startup the computer just freezes. and its a new motherboard and brand new graphics cards, with a fresh version of vista 64bit just installed.

take out the graphic card then check, if the problem still ocurs then its the problem of os so reinstall the os ang the graphic driver and try. it may occur if ur hard drive is not good.

New ram problem

try to pull out the old 128MB and let the new 512MB memory, to knew that your windows 2000 working properly.. if the 512MB function then its ok... dont put back again the old one... Maybe that 128MB is not compatible with the new 512MB, is 512MB PC400 or not? and also let your windows restore back to its system working properly and your VGA Card reinstall it again.... hope this might help you, good luck!

No signal on monitor

You might try switching the VGA cable if you haven't. If that doesn't work then I'd agree with you in saying the motherboard is likely fried.

I'm not sure about the RAM thing and I'm guessing that you are using the on-board video because you didn't specify and didn't mention a video card. I'd make sure that the power supply provides proper voltage and amperage for the system, or reduce the number of devices pulling on the power supply. You can reseat the ram but if it was working in the other computer, it should work on the new one because RAM is dependent on the motherboard, not the computer. That is assuming that you are using the same RAM as was in the initial computer. I don't have a lot of other ideas without having more specifics about what the setup is and what you've done so far. good luck

PC Won't Start After Initial Post

make sure the ram is the same name of kind. if you can get the old computer on, hit the esc key and go in the bois and hit save, and restart. this should bring the computer back up. check the piggs (jumpers) on the motherboard to see if all are the same, more them around and try each one, I hope this will help you.
