My Sony UVW 1800 says this error 02-603. Rebooting doesn't work. Manual eject from the menu doesn't work either and I have a tape in the machine. Perhaps my only option is to open the covers. Can someone help me please.

have the same problem - any way of manually removing the tape cassette when this problem occurs?

My UVW 1800 Beta Cam sp deck has a tape stuck in it. It says error 02-694. It wont budge. Can you help me, please?

Guru02-603 is "tape slack". to find out what is causing the slack, you will have to remove the top panel.
