working with the person that unlocked the phone is useless, the problem doesnt get fixed it was done over the phone by a tech.

do you have any other suggestions

  • lips62 Sep 26, 2009

howd we go with this problem

  • lips62 Sep 26, 2009

just spoke to 3 network tech and they say that the lg ks630 will not work on their card as its not a 3 phone.

    is this fact

  • lips62 Sep 26, 2009

if i cant fully unlock this phone, which i believe can be (otherwise why would they charge me to have it unlocked from boost),i should still be able to take it to a phone tech to see that its fully unlocked

  • lips62 Sep 26, 2009

have boost on the phone now,but they seem to not be able to fix it...................**** phone never had so many problems...thanks for your help

  • lips62 Sep 26, 2009

3 said lgks360 will not work with their sims it just the way it is and they take no responsibility as they dont except that 3 is compatible the lg phone or to thier services.

thank you for your time,i give up................i will personaly take the phone to lg in auburn australia and have it out with them

Hi,

This is the issue with the LOCKS that are not FULLY UNLOCKED..

Actually the Phone can be locked in 5 things they are Network, Network subset, Service provider, Extended, Corporate..

If your Phone is unlocked from the network, then you can use all the other SIM to make and receive calls,

IF your phone is unlocked from Network subset, you can use the various function such as additional features in the others network.

Similarly all the other feature should be unlocked and the lock status should be set as 5, to fully use the unlocked phone, If any LOCK remains LOCKED, then you wont be able to use features such as CONTACTS, SMS, GPRS, and other service proviced by the Network

SO the solution is Ask the person who unlocked our phone to UNLOCK all the feature or all the LOCKS

Please leave me comments ,if you need furthur assistance

Since unlocking is illegal,im very sorry to say that it cant be discussed or done over here..

Its better to contact near by local unlocking center or there are lot of websites who unlock the phones through special software's.

Normally, the unlocking using special codes don't unlock the phone fully, You have to perform hardware unlock to fully unlock the phone(ie, taking to the shop and unlocking using special unlocking mechanism)..

Unlocking fully should solve the problem, ther are many local cellphone repair shops who unlocks it for you, You should consult them for unlocking fully

And some cases certain new phones cant be unlocked fully, So it better to consult them

Unlocking the phone using the subsidy code, makes hte phone fully unlocked...Which can be got from your own boost network...If you have done so, ie if youhave got the subsidy code from boost to unlock, then you were legal, and youhave the full rights to take the issue to the Boost and ask these things..

IF you have not unlocked directly from Boost, its illegal and no other way than taking it to other unlocking center

Please leave me comments ,if you need furthur assistance

If the person from 3 network, says like that..IT cant be like that, because the SIM card cant locked to particular phone as PHONE LOCKED TO USE PARTICULAR SIM...

I activate phones for Boost Mobile.

I'm sorry to tell you, but an ic902 can never be unlocked to work properly on any other system - to include the Boost system. Here's why. The ic902 is a hybrid phone. That is, it uses two different cellular systems to operate. Specifically, voice calls on the ic902 are placed over the Sprint CDMA network and Push-to-Talk (PTT) calls are transmitted over Nextel's iDEN network.

Boost Mobile calling (both, voice and PTT) uses the iDEN network from Nextel. Thus, the ic902's radio transmitter (which is CDMA) cannot make calls on the Boost ( iDEN ) system.

Moreover, if you plan to use Boost Mobile, I STRONGLY suggest that you NOT purchase a Nextel phone and have it unlocked to use for Boost.

Although Nextel and Boost phones seem the same - they are not. If you look at the model number of Nextel phones most of them end in a zero. (ie., i850, i870 etc.) where Boost Mobile Phones end with the number five. (ie., i855, i875, etc.) This is because the transmitters in the phones are set to different frequencies for different purposes (like for texting.)

If you go to eBay for example, those who sell unlocked Nextel phones to use for Boost (if they're honest) will inform potential buyers in their eBay listings that their unlocked Nextel phone will not (text, for example) on the Boost network. These unlocked Nextel phones will have limitations when used on Boost.

To prevent problems down the road, ALWAYS purchase a Boost phone to use on the Boost network.
