At the rear of the dryer ? You don't mean the drum do you ? It's a felt drum seal. All that's required is a new seal and some hi temp sealant (3M-1800 If I's been a while since I've had to purchase it by name) to apply it to the drum. Good luck, hope that seals the deal !

Look under the lip near the mounting area. There should be a spring, just gently pull it around till it is 180 degree or more . it will fall off.

I have a Whirlpool dryer model leq9030pq. It is 7 years old. It still dries fine, but the gasket (or whatever it is) at the back of the drum is coming away and the dryer is making a lot of noise. Is...

may need drum rollers which if you are real handi and willing to take apart machine .Hard to explain how on this.Gasket in back would cut off whats falling away. It take some of the efficiency away from the drying. not hard to replace but messy. You get a gasket and this very stickey high temp glue with instructions.

Rollers keep going flat and breaking belt

May I suggest you do a little detective work?
I see different models of dryer have different rollers.
Could you look to see if your rollers are supposed to be rounded or flat?
It depends on where they support the drum.
I have both for use to fix dryers.
Then, look to see the surface of the drum.
Is the round roller supposed to fit in a rounded slot?
If so, is the drum falling out of the place it is supposed to ride?
I have had that happen when I was moving the dryer, and I tipped it over, and the drum fell out of its place inside the machine.
Sounds like a roller fix will make the belt go longer.
Oh yes, be absolutely sure the rollers are free wheeling and move on their shafts freely back and forth, as well as spinning.
Be blessed.

I was told i need anew drum and felt gasket dryers 3 years old it is clonking so i dont dought it could it faulty

with out looking at it it sounds like the rollers have gone bad i believe you gain access from the rear of the unit to look at the rollers but you can remove the to by removing the 2 screws on the rear of the top and then pushing back and up on it turn the dryer on and look and see how round the tub is.if tub looks fine then stop dryer and turn drum in the direction it turned when it was running until you see where the factory welded it and see if the weld is broke or has a high spot.if these look good then the rollers are bad and you will have to remove the front by taking control panel off and the screws holding the front take note on how it comes apart because you have to put it back together.

Haier HLP140E Electric 110V dryer exhaust filter.

I have had this dryer for 4+ years and finally have used the "floor vent" filters that come 12" x 4" and cut two of them to fit. It's a pain because unlike the round design they can "fall out" when you snap the filter back in. Be that as it may, they work well because you cannot buy the black round wool filter anywhere.

When you turn the dryer on, with our without

Try these: There usually is a rubber guide wheel on the side and in the rear of the drum. Sometimes they warp or go out of round. Also, some units have a bearing in the back/center. It could be worn. Also, some units have a felt gasket around the front openning which could be worn
