If you can't get in a phone because you forgot your password, the only way in, is to reset the phone and setting up the phone from scratch. You will lose all data, like contact lists, notes, images, and all apps, you did not backup on a computer or in the cloud.
Setting up a password protection on a smart phone, was to prevent anyone without password to be able to access your data. Now you forgot the password, you are excluded to the information too.
If there was a general code to unlock every password, that would make the security a farce and worth nothing.
To change your lock screen password (assuming you still remember the old one) go to the Settings app, then go to GeneralPasscode LockIt will then ask for you old password, enter itthen click onChange PasscodeType in your old one againtype in your new onethen type in your new one again. Now your Lock screen password is changed.
Have you tried reinstalling the battery after some delay to bring the phone to stand by mode before changing the code for locking ?Connect to computer with proper PC suite and interfacing cable to change the code in the lock file.Take to moble repair shop to reset the proper jumpers to deactvate and erase the set password of the lock application.
Unfortunately, you can NOT access your user data and applications on the device without a password.
If you think you are entering the correct password, ensure that CAPS
lock or NUM lock is not turned on. You should try to type your password
in another application (like word or email) to ensure that it is being
entered correctly. This can help you see if CAPS lock, NUM lock, or a
sticky key is causing the password to actually be entered incorrectly.
Password attempts There's a set number of attempts before U3 locks your device and you have to reformat it. Reformatting will delete all files and applications on the flash drive.
If you set a hint when you enabled the password protection, click Hint
in the log in window to display the hint you entered. If you did not
set a hint or still can not remember your password you will have to
reformat the drive. Reformatting will delete all files and applications on the flash drive.
It is recommended to keep a backup of all the data on your U3 device on your PC for safe keeping.
Yes! If your BlackBerry in running on the BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server) then the IT admin of reset the password remotely...
If your Blackberry is not on the BES, then there is really nothing that can be done. This is a security feature enabled by RIM. Once you put the password 10 times incorrectly, the device willl master reset and all your data in it will be gone. However, not the application (any that you may have purchased).
Hope this was hopeful and I hope you remember your password... All the best
Sir, you have set one of the above passwords. If you have forgot one then enter the second as an alternative. I assume that you have given 1 password and forgot it, thus you remember the second. If you have never changed the second code ( the on you have not forgotten ), it is surely is at default. You can easily obtain the second code from the manual.
Right now the G1 is having issues logging into the phone after you get locked out using a screen pattern. Just try to remember to write down the username and password you used the first time that way you won't lose the information on your phone by having to reset it. Also make sure you are typing it carefully and make sure to enter your whole gmail address too (Ex. email@example.com). Also if you have had to change your password from a computer after you logged into your G1, it does not take the password change. A way to avoid that is to login to the G1 again. Sync your contacts to gmail first (Settings > Data Synchronization > Menu > Sync Now). Then go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Google Apps > Clear Data. To sign in again go to Settings > Data Synchronization and it will give you the option to create an account or sign in.
