When I start my PC, displaying in the monitor comes as a straight line in mid portion of the screen or sometime display appear in the upper half or Lower half portion of the screen. If I let the system running for 15-20 mins without doing anything, full screen display appear. I have already cleared the dryness of PCB of monitoe including EHT portion too. But, still my monitor problem persist. Can anyone help me to solve my problem.

Sounds like your lcd is going bad. Try tapping the lcd on the back of
the lid and see if the lines flash or appear. Try connecting another
monitor to the computer. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend,
relative or co-worker and connect it to the computer. If the Borrowed
monitor displays ok without the flash lines then the video card inside
the computer is good, but your original lcd screen is bad. If the
Borrowed monitor displays the flash lines like your lcd screen then your
video card inside the computer is bad.
Plug in an external monitor and see if the
display shows up on it. It can be any kind of monitor even the old big fat crt
monitors as long as it has a vga cable to connect to your computer's vga
port. If so that proves your video card is ok. The video will show
on most systems when you reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems
will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down
the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru
F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have
the icon of a display.
If you have External Monitor check by connecting it if you get display on external monitor without line it means Display screen is Bad, if Line appears on external display as well then there is either Display driver issue or motherboard problem.
tricky!! oh hi im Dyanne.. a totally unresponsive black screen can be th result of failure of th LCD or LCD inverter.( a specialized piece of electronics that energize th screen) to rule out th failure of th video display adapter or circuitry, try plugging in an external monitor..a standard pc monitor.. attached direct to th lappy. if it works, (as i susopect) th motherboard and video display are both working ok and its th LCD which is at fault. this can sometimes be repaired by a competent specialist. good luck xx
Try replacin a new display card. If it is fine working.ok
If not try fixing for cold solder in the video section.
I suggest video section according your report the light green LED lighted that shows the power section is doing fine.
If it's working fine in DOS, it can only be your display drivers for your operating system. What happes when you start in SAFE MODE? When you PC starts, keep pressing the F8 key, go to Safe Mode. If it works, bring the Resolution down to 800 X 600 and load the new display card drivers. Restart, should be fine.
I had the same problem. I fixed it completely today. The horizontal lines disappeared. IT IS DEFINETLY THE DEVICE DRIVER. I confirmed my monitor model tyope (dell M783s) and downloaded the specific driver for this monitor.
I had to do these exact steps or did not work.
1) with the problem screen, disabled the display adapter under the Hardware/Device Manager settings.
2) Restart the PC
3) Boot will come up with brown lines still but the screen will low resolution of 600x800.
4) Then I installed the correct device display monitor driver onto the pc. ( you may need to scan for new hardware, then choose the directory with the new hard drive.)
