Not an expert in this area, the following observations are from my own personal experience.

I would use Pink first. Then mask off with tape on the areas you wish to be Black.

Make a kids cape

Use any rather large piece of cloth like a bed sheet, curtain, table cloth, etc. You can just dye it black or whatever color you need if the material is not the color you need for your kid's cape. Trim/cut to size needed, sew raw ends. Just fold 3/4 of an inch to the top part where you will can in some ribbon to be able to fasten the cape around the neck. An option instead of tying around the neck, would be to gather the tops and sew in place then attach to the shirt or costume using velcro.

Should I dye my hair pink?

I used to dye my hair lots of different colors- and I noticed that each one had a different effect on the people that I would come across. It is surprising how different colors will elicit a different response in whoever sees them.
When I dyed my hair pink, I found that people were warm, kind, helpful, and complimentary... especially old ladies, older guys with kids, and moms.
When I had green or blue hair, people were cold, unhelpful, judgemental, and gave me bad looks. Especially old ladiees, older guys with kids, and moms, and police officers... and kids... and everybody except people who think it is cool to enhance your hair color with anything outside of the social agreed upon spectrum of blacks, browns, red (but not too red), and golds.

Other things to consider is do you have the practice and time to keep it up? Otherwise you will have hair that looks like it used to be pink, which is not as cute as real pink. You have to maintain it.

How long is your hair? You will have to bleach it to get the pink to stand out, which means that your hair will become damaged. It just does. So, if you have long hair and you aren't sure about pink, then maybe don't damage it, because it is hard to un-damage long hair. If your hair is short then it doesn't matter as much because you can just grow it back out.
In this day, you can get a job with pink hair. So no worries there.
I usually have regretted the things that I did not do, not the things I did. So, unless it will get you kicked out of something that you have worked hard for, then go for it!

How to tie fabric for tie dye

The art of tie dye has no boundries. It all depends on how big of area or how tight you make the knots. You can make one big one and be done or you can repeatedly tie tighter as you die or looser.....get crazy. Tie dye is.

Hi, can you teach me on how to use jobos dye. Appreciate if you could the complete step by step... Thanks

For this project, we will be making a basic sunburst design on a t-shirt.

  1. First, wash the -shirt in order to remove any possible dirt and prepare it for dye absorption. Tie-dying is best done on damp fabric.
  2. Cover our work area with newspaper to protect it from any spills, and assemble all your tools.
  3. Wear rubber gloves to prepare the dye. Carefully follow the manufacturer's instructions provided on the package.
  4. Our particular fabric dye, Venus, for example, calls for the powder to be dissolved in boiling water to get the best, fastest results possible. So fill the large container with lukewarm water, bring to boil, and pour in the dye, starting with the lightest color if you are using more than one color.
  5. While the water is coming on a boil, lay the t-shirt flat on your work area. Grab the center of the t-shirt with your thumb and index finger, and lift it up. Run your other hand down the cloth, twisting the fabric as you gather it together tightly.
  6. Wrap one rubber band around the gathered t-shirt, right below the spot where you lifted. Then, wrap a few more rubber bands, about one to two inches apart from each other. Feel free to make up your own spacing.
  7. Once you're satisfied with the rubber band placement, immerse the entire t-shirt in the first color dye. Boil the t-shirt for 10 minutes , stirring constantly. Then, stir 4 level tablespoons of salt into the mixture for each gallon of water used. Boil for another 20 minutes, stirring constantly.
  8. Remove the t-shirt and rinse in cold running water. Wring out the garment until water runs almost clear.
  9. For designs requiring more than one color, repeat steps 3 to 8, using colors in order from lightest to darkest.
  10. When you have finished dying the garment, remove rubber bands and lay t-shirt flat on your workspace. Place a towel over the still-damp garment, and iron it flat.

What precautions should I take when I dye my hair?

You should follow these safety tips when dying your hair:

•Don't leave the dye on your head any longer than needed.
•Rinse your scalp thoroughly with water after use.
•Wear gloves when applying hair dye.
•Carefully follow the directions in the hair dye package.
•Never mix different hair dye products.
•Be sure to do a patch test for allergic reactions before applying the dye to your hair. Almost all hair dye products include instructions for doing a patch test. It's important to do this each time you dye your hair. Your hairdresser should also do the patch test before dyeing your hair. To test, put a dab of hair dye behind your ear, and don't wash it off for two days. If you don't have any signs of allergic reaction, such as itching, burning, or redness at the test spot, you can be somewhat sure that you won't have a reaction to the dye applied to your hair. If you do react to the patch test, do the same test with different brands or colors until you find one to which you're not allergic.
•Never dye your eyebrows or eyelashes. An allergic reaction to dye could cause swelling or increase risk of infection in the eye area. This can harm the eye and even cause blindness. Spilling dye into the eye by accident could also cause permanent damage. FDA bans the use of hair dyes for eyelash and eyebrow tinting or dyeing even in beauty salons.

I hav a 95 berrta and im tying to put a head unit

Hello chrisuftring,

Here's a link to the wiring color code for the '95 Chevy Beretta.

You'll need to match the function of each wire from your head unit and the color code for that would be in your manual. Most aftermarket units are somewhat standard as far as power, accessory, ground, and speaker connections are concerned. But the wiring colors may be different for such leads as remote, power antenna, illumination, dimmer, and muting.

An Alpine head unit has the following wiring colors:
Blue - Power Antenna
Blue/White - Remote
Pink/Black - Audio Interrupt (muting)
Orange - Illumination
Red- Switched 12V+
Yellow - Constant 12V+
Black - Ground
Gray - RF Speaker (+)
Gray/Black - RF Speaker (-)
White - LF Speaker (+)
White/Black LF Speaker (-)
Violet - RR Speaker (+)
Violet/Black RR Speaker (-)
Green - LR Speaker (+)
Green/Black - LR Speaker (-)

With this head unit, you would wire Yellow to Orange, Red to Yellow, Black to Black, Orange to Gray, Blue to Pink, Gray to Light Green, Gray/Black to Dark Green, White to Tan, White/Black to Gray, Violet to Dark Blue, Violet/Black to Light Blue, Green to Brown, and Green/Black to Yellow.

Note that there are 2 "yellow" wires in your vehicle color code. You'll have to test them to determine which one is the accessory wire and which one goes to the left rear speaker. Using a 12V "test light" is the simplest. Connect one side of the light to ground. With the ignition ON probe the yellow wires. One of them should light the tester, the other one won't. Verify that the light goes out when the ignition is OFF and your have separated the redundant "yellows". The one that lit the tester is your 12V+ switched wire and the other one goes to the left rear speaker.

Hope this helps.

Black ink

The PGBK cartridge is a pigment black ink, while the others use a dye for coloration. The pigment black is used when printing text and other documents. The dye ink is used when printing photos and other colored documents. The dye black is used in conjunction with the color (dye) inks to provide tinting and color gradation, and therefore is not used nearly as much as the pigment black unless you use your printer only for printing photos.

If you're printing text and documents, you will need to buy another pigment black (PGBK) cartridge.
